FATAZZ
im currently using that $22 boost controller found by CEFF1E(much appreciated) My mates got 1 of these turbosmart dual stage boost controller that he doesnt want/need as he drives a v8. How much are these suckers worth? its still brand new in the box(i assume all fitting are there) obviously im not going to pay retail, but if someone can tell me what these things normally go for? few questions to,it states on the back of the box that it holds the wastegate shut *better (i assume it keeps it shut untill you reach the desired amount of boost youve dialled in) so at the moment doesnt my std rb20 actuator hold the rb25 wastegate shut completely untill i reach the full 11psi??? and it says something about a function to run an extra injecter? if the price is good,do you think id benefit much from it? hopefully i can get the boost to come on full'er and earlier to gain some decent midrange. cheers Edited November 13, 2007 by RSTME Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/193565-turbosmart-boost-controller/ Share on other sites

Yeh would definately hold boost better than your $22 thing and you have 2 stages of boost aswell so thats a plus.. Still would get a little bit of creep but if you want to almost eliminate wastegate creep you'll need a good ebc. I have a turbosmart Eboost 2 cos i was able to get one for cheap...awesome bit of equipment. 3 stages of boost and holds boost all the way through to the top of the rev range. my 2c Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/193565-turbosmart-boost-controller/#findComment-3473772 Share on other sites
FATAZZ
ok so i shouldn't pay anymore then $200 so he Turbosmart 1 isn't as good as the other well known brands that can be found on here? i wasn't really looking for a ebc as yet, this things just popped up. for say $200 is it worth it for a fairly stock rb20det with rb25 turbo? BAMR33
No benefit, don't bother. The turbosmart unit is probably worse at controlling boost too as it's a bleed valve the MBC isn't.
