sorry, cant help till tonight (car at home)

dont have measurements for front/rear springs either

=(

anyone?

if you get stuck install the shocks etc, and if it is too low or too high simply jack up each wheel one by one, spring clamp x 2 and tighten up, then release the circlip and reposition. you dont need to uninstall everything, just use 2x spring clamps, and do it slowly.

=)

350mm centre of wheel to guard lip.

sk bilstein look to be set at the 3rd lowest circlip, could be the 4th lowest mark.

sorry, cant kneel to look properly, went by feel on the gruves.

if you like the car low then try the 3rd from bottom circlip gruve. should be the 350mm mark, if not then 345mm. mine would look awesome at 345mm IMO, but SA laws state that 350 is the min distance.

hey all

i need to know asap which circlips will give what height using SK's shocks/springs. Also would be helpful to know how many MM front/rear the springs are shorter...

-Ryan

The standard groove, identified by the paint, gives 340 mm front and 320 mm rear when used with the Whiteline springs . That's after the usual settling in period of 1,000 k's or so. Each groove is 8 mm apart, so the recomended height (355/345) would require moving the circlip up 2 grooves on the front and 3 grooves on the rear. If you carry rear passengers often, have a sub abnd/or tow then I would suggest going up 4 grooves on the rear.

Cheers

Gary

ended up using a lathe and getting 365 front, 370rear. i have sub/amp/dogs/mates/weekend luggage so thought higher would be better... we did it by guesswork and basic tape measure skillz... Can anyone tell me why i have 3 bumpstops?

they arnt mine, a mate helped me put the suspn stuff on over 2yrs ago now.

we installed it, then dropped each corner by another circlip

mind you this bloke was an employee of ASE (adelaide suspn engineering?) for 9yrs, so he knew where to cut corners :)

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
