Get a huge sticker for rear window "NON TURBO" but I'd guess that would be like adverting you have no left nut and defeats the purpose of driving an NA line (looks fast, goes slow)...I do like the camera idea

yeh bro i got pulled over, cop pulled me over and basically said im not suppose to be drivin turbo.

i wasnt speeding or anything, and i told him ' its not a turbo mate'

he goes ok.

and i could see him checkin out my car for other problems, then he full on asked me to show him bonnet so i did.

then he did a whole car roadworthy check on car, and slugged me for my front tyres being too slick.

at the time , i was getting new tyres fitted in whtihin 3 days with these new rims, and i eve noffered to show ihm rims which wer in the boot, i told him to plz not giv me a fine or canary, but he goes ' its for your protection' or sum sht and stuck this massive sticker on my car lol ( canary) . so i had to go through whole roadworthy bs at vicroads.

and optop of that, vicroads had a stuff up with my roadworthy which i got a letter saying registration was suspeneded, which i needed to sort out .

absolute waste of time, they didnt need to do that.

but i wasnt gonna complain, who knows , he might've arrested me for trying to explain to him common sense.

with the amount you are getting hassled im thinking maybe your car is known to them from a previous owner.......

I am the old owner lol.. I didn't get picked on anywhere near as much as David is saying he is.

I was only done for speeding once..

The car just attracts lots of attention because it sounds tough and looks mint! Sooo shinnnyyy

ethnic appearance???? lol

in what world would they hassle you for having an ethnic appearance :D

nah but i get hassled a bit by cops,

i was pulled over, and he asked me to show him under bonnet, so i did. and he was satisfied with that, then he started doing a check on my car , and slugged me for my front tire being a bit bald , so he defecteed me :(

but jus dont flogg it hard, when cops are around , put it in 5th and cruise if a cop is nex to you and you shudnt get hassled., even if it is a turboed.

Well, a number of things,

Ive been pulled over because they thought i was of ethnic apperance, when in fact im not tanned and i have light brown hair.

Ive been pulled over and had a mouthing to because of dark window tint whihc is 100% legal.

Ive been followed by under cover cops all the way to my mates houses and turn sirens on when i have stopped and turned the car off.

Ive had them open my door and step on the accelerater trying to prove its a turbo, when its obviously not.

ive been pulled over and had my engine bay searched.

My pod filter makes a good sucking noise, and have been questioned many times over this, but its fully sealed in a box.

But there seems to be nothing i can do to avoid being pulled over except for not driving, has any one else experienced this, or is it because i was born a ginger and have bad luck for life :bomb_ie:

    • I agree re not trusting it as it makes mistakes however can do hours of research for you at times by simply asking a question
    • The I've done a lot of research and feel like I'm becoming a nut and washer expert. The washer in question doesn’t look very conical—it’s almost flat, but one side has a chamfer. The guide's picture shows the convex side (chamfered side) facing the nut, but the text says the chamfer should face the pulley, which is confusing. If I follow the picture, the chamfer faces the nut, but the instructions say the opposite. When I place the washer on a flat surface, one side looks flatter—maybe that's the concave side—so I would expect the chamfer to be on that side. But it isn’t, which adds to the confusion. The term chamfer is also throwing me off. I always thought the concave side should face the pulley, and the convex side (with the chamfer) should face the nut or bolt head. But Nissan’s instructions say the chamfer should face the pulley, which seems backward. I know I’m probably overthinking it, but I want to be sure I’m doing it right. Also, I’ve seen some people replace the nut and stud with a bolt, but I assume that’s not a good idea, since it might not keep proper tension on the tensioner. Lastly, just to be 100% sure: the pressure washer should face the pulley, then the conical washer? That feels strange, since usually the pressure washer goes first, facing the bolt or nut.
    • I checked, i dont think it was the indicator stalk. The problem just magically fixed itself though.
    • H1 is not the Humvee, but is the most road based version. Lachlan (HankScorpio) on here has a proper Humvee. He imported it a few years back.
