Hi SAU members,

I have recently just bought a 96 R33 GTR VSpec and want my garage back so I can work on it. But I have my two GTST's in my garage and think it is time for me to move them on, even though I love my baby girls both very much! And not to mention keeping the rego up on all three is $1500+ a year. You could say I have a small litter of Skylines in my garage!

My question to the SAU public is: What does the market think these two are worth each - I mean realistically worth?

1995 R33 GTS-t Series I

Completely stock standard apart from exhaust and Apexi suspension.

121,000 odd k's on the clock, timing belt, pulleys done at 95k, new bendix pads all around, registration just paid ($550), Clarion stereo.

1996 R33 GTS-t Series II

Factory fitted Nismo S-Tune suspension, Fujitsubo cat back twin exhaust system, OEM fit Garrett GT25/28 ball bearing turbo - all standard actuation and boost control etc.

Full owner's manual inc Nismo S-Tune suspension certificate, log book history confirming genuine kilometres (107,000k). BBS LM Edition gold wheels 18x8, 18x9 - good rubber.

I got some pics of them both- see below, I'm sure you will be able to differentiate the two from one another. I have $10,500 on my series 1 at the moment on CarPoint.

Anyway tell me what you all think AND...Don't call me stupid for having three R33's, my Mrs gives me enough S**t as it is – I have an addiction for 33's I guess or I'm just plain mental.

Lol, the least you could have gotten them in different colors?? jks...nah I know how you feel...I've got 2 V35s as well in the garage.

Your S2 looks good with the BBS wheels..not too familiar with R33 prices but at a rough guess...probably 15k max...anymore and you could almost get a decent R34 these days.

Its not really a good time to be selling especially imports...but GL anyways.

Yeah all white, I definately got issues - thanks for pointing that out. BUT I broke the trend with the GTR, got a silver colour this time

Cheers Mate!

I'm so sorry to hear about your dilemma, what a horrible situation to be in... too many skylines....as a solution I would be happy to take one off your hands :P

but in all seriousness... sell the stock one, keep the other 2 and use the money from one to make garage larger = prob solved :D

S1 9k S2 12k

But it depends the market is crap atm and its what ever someone will pay for them.

Someone after a clean s2 with gen kms may pay more to get an original car.. and you could always sell parts of them like the wheels prob 2-2.5k.

i picked up my s2 with low kms great rubber and 10months rego for 11k a few months back - there were cheaper options but not in the same condition and if your fussy thats what it comes down to.

my 2c. Rich

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
