in the process of upgrading the brakes on my 33

as r34gtr brembos are hard to come by i would like to use the sti brembos on my car

so i know the rears of the sti fits up onto the rear of a r33 but what rotors do you use to make it all function and what brake lines do you use

the fronts i know doesnt fit so i will have to make some dog legs only issue is what is a good size rotor to use for the fronts i am running 17inch by 9 inch drifttek wheels all round +30s

cheers guys i hope there is alot of info on this

to make em fit and do it properly

step 1 : jack car up

step 2 : unbolt wheel

step 3 : smash drift tek to pieces

step 4 : go buy 33gtr brakes

step 5 : bolt together

step 6 : buy decent wheels

step 7 : lots better now

how much power u pushing? wat power u planning on going to?

33 gtr brembos will be quite adequate enough for street and anything you can throw at them

cn28s are on the cards need to get rid of my gtr seats first and get some buckets

in terms of power car is making 440-450 rwhp so need bigger brakes than 33 gtrs

anyway fronts are sorted got a set of 34gtr calipers and rotors so all good

just need to sort out the backs now

I think what Sydneykid is getting at is why is the caliper better...

The 33 sumitomo caliper is quite good and is 4 piston, as is the STI brembo, however, if your only going to increase the rotor then why not just upgrade the rotor size and retain the 33 calipers?

There will be minimal difference between the STI 4pot and the 33 4pot... IMO unless this is a serious track car? especially when your using an adapter to obtain a bigger rotor

Correct me if im wrong though...

I think the main reason is if he has Brembos on the front, it'll look a bit weird with standard calipers on the rear, so with the STi callipers its the same all the way around.

And I think it is a track car, but its the sexiest damn track car I've ever seen!
