howdy all, new to the forum and new stagea owner just bought a 99 series two stagea not to much done to it pretty stock but nice and clean. all thats been done is a 3 inch exaust and a blitz boost controller. few things i gotta do kinda straight away i need to get new rotors and pads and the shocks are pretty dead to. gonna try and find some coilovers maybe second hand not sure or just get front and rear shocks for now and get it tuned and serviced properly.

Im also new to the forum and im in the process of buying my stagea 99 series two. Just finding it hard to get insurance for it in order to drive it home from Melbourne. How did you go about getting yours insured?

it wasnt acually that hard hey. that youi didnt let me insure it cause its an import or some crap so i just stayed with just car insurance swapped it over from my vy wagon i sold payed a 60 buck difference and that was it. the cars insured for seventeen an a half and i payed eleven cash for it. that was fully comp for 850buks and im only 24. some places just dont like imports not sure if other people have had any problems but yeh thats all i did just car are good. shannons would i rekon but im not sure wat the price would be. hope that helped at all

Yeah i have done some research now and stags are pritty good to insure which is good news for us :woot: Got a quote with Just Car around the 1200 price and im only 20 so im happy with that :woot: have fun in ur stag :woot:

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
