So this year could be Montoya's last realistic chance to be F1 world champion. He's already comitted to McLarren for 2005-6 and going on current performance, he's got no chance at all with them. He could just fade away at a lesser team and never drive for a top team again.

Webber on the other hand - all the talk seems to be not about if he's going to win the championship, but who he's going to win it for!

In 10 years time... Montoya who??

Montoya is a driver who just goes out there and drives the wheels off the car not knowing much about the car and pulls some awesome stunts in the cars.

Webber on the other hand might not be so outrages in the car but consistant and slowly progressin, but personally i dunno if he will win a F1 Championship.

:D

Youre basing McLarens performance on one race! haha........ if you want to do that then Michael or Rubens have already won in 04! In which case Montoya has no chance this year also :) Realisticly Williams Renault and McLaren will catch up to Ferrari this year maybe not in maylasia but surely when they head back to Europe. Remember Melbourne 98 McLaren also lapped the whole field winning by over a minute Ferrari caught up and challenged for the championship and only just lost. And on Webber he has a good of a chance as Montoya of winning a championship. hes a smart and fast driver which is what Schummy is all about!! Also Montoya at Mac will have to deal with Kimi :) who is a faster driver.

so montoya reminds you of that guy sylvester stallone played in that race car movie where he comes out of retirement? hahaha.

geez they talk webber up. i'll eat my shorts the day he becomes world f1 champion.

hahaha. It may seem as though everyone in oz is talking up Webber a bit much but reading overseas websites and also hearing from aussies overseas the guy is touted as a future superstar even overseas. I even saw an interview where MS was asked if he was worried about the up and comers montoya, alonso and kimi he said " you forgot one; Webber"

I remember seeing an interview about Senna many years ago. The guys they interviewed said, senna was the sort of racer that hated loosing full stop "especially to prost". If he wasn't going to win a race, he'd either try to run first place off the road, or retire himself out of the race. Montoya sort of reminds me alot of Senna, he's driving style is agressive, and he sooks if he loses. Though not my favourite of drivers, as long as Montoya's racing makes for good viewing.

I agree, Its only australian media that make it out that hes the next world champion. There are shitloads better drivers then him, namely Alonso!

Also Montoya is a good driver, but stupid. Mick said it perfectly after the race. He makes one stupid move, and his race is over. Hes done it over and over again. Dont forget guys Montoya has only ever won 1 race. Hes not that good.

Death Race 2000 - clearly the best car movie of all time. I've got it on DVD. The best scene is when David Carradine beats the crap out of Sylvester Stallone. Oh man, I'm going straight home and watching it for the 57th time tonight!

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
