For Sale is my 1996 Impreza WRX Hatchback. It is an amazing car, and is in immaculate condition, with just 157,000ks on the clock. The reason it's up for sale is because I have just moved from Brisbane to a farm in the Ballina area, and unfortunately it is not a practical car for where I am now living. i am gutted to be selling it, and for this price too, its an absolute steal!

The car has been modified, but is still very comfortable, and a great daily driver. mods include:

-2001 WRX engine and gearbox

-Heavy duty clutch

-Full Exhaust

-Front & Rear Strut Braces

-Pedder's Coil Over Suspension

-Brand New Brake Rotors and Pads

-2006 WRX Wheels with brand new Federal Tyres

-After Market Intercooler

-STI Injectors & Fuel pump

-Tinted Windows

The car has been owned and modified by a mature owner. It is always driven with respect, and has never been thrashed. It has been meticulously maintained and serviced every 5000k's with top shelf products.

The car will be sold fully roadworthy, and registered, and it can be swapped over to NSW rego if need be.

This genuinely is a very regretful sale, and you will not find a cleaner, or more well looked after WRX of this age, and this price. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the car as quickly as I can. Please note, any time wasters, joy riders, or low ball offers will be ignored.

I am located in the Ballina area, NSW

Price is $10,000

PM me for pics, as they are all bigger than the 2mb limit

    • No. Only for a standard ECU with/without Nistune. Standalone has no need for it. That's like the 3rd time I've said so.   And as to that sensor linked - yes, it does look like it would be the right one. I've never bothered to see how available they were - just assumed that they'd be hard to find. I think I'd be planning to go Link ECU rather than buy sensors I don't actually want to make Nistune work, if I did not already have Nistune. As you do not already have Nistune, you should realy consider your options.
    • If there's enough meat in the housing where you want to put the M12 adapter, then do it, but be aware that if/when you f**k that up you'll probably be repairing it before doing anything else. I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
