The President is also (IMHO) one of the worst styled luxury cars money can buy. Truly awful :D

Celsiors are nice, with a sensible kit and decent wheels. Trouble is, more often than not they end up with some monster kit, wing's bigger than most planes, drainpipes...no sewage pipes for exhausts and massive wheels at a ridiculous camber angle squeezed under monster fenders....:)

president is the same car as the cima, exept it got more features, not really in the toyota century league.

not quite...not to be nitpicking but the G50 President ran a VH45DE and the Y32 Cima ran VH41DE, but the best thing was the Cima also came in 4WD ;)

I love to get myself into a F50 Cima...

the older presidents from the eighties are really nice though, great styling imo.

celsior is definetly a good vip car, realiable too, but what about the crown, what do you think about it (royol saloon and athlete i mean) not the taxi/cop cars

uh no...:D

VIP strickly speaking mostly sedans and vans which enables you to fit a bigass sound system and still have your mates in the back to cruise around with you. Not to mention it's suppose to be a slug, heavy and with very little performance thus it's a show car. Which is the reason for it's popularity with bitumen scrapping bodykits but they seem to think they can still drift the car which results in an even better bodykit, one with a damaged/torn front bar...mostly entered in SPL comps.

Just been browsing through my pic collection and realized I don't have any good VIP pics, especially of the vans.

Will have to try and get some sorted this summer - in the meantime, anyone else have any VIP van pics for our viewing pleasure? :D

Dave: now VIP vans is something I would consider myself...more practical, more space and looks so much more better then a sedan when dumped on 20". A van would be no heavier then a sedan, plus it has a greater sleeper effect...with a 4WD version and the fact they are now front engines tuners have been able to slap on S/C anc T/C for some mild boost. My choice a Hybrid Estima, black of course, 20" with a nice kit :), the guy who installed my alarm had his new demo white Alphard at the shop...very very nice. Because it was a shop demo car it had every freaking alarm possible and security devices install on the market to demonstration to the customer. He joked if this van could be stolen via means of entry the theif is a genius.

    • also , i noticed how you mentioned not to run a plug and play standalone... i think the only sensor im missing might be the boost pressure sensor. doesn't the link ecu come with a built in one that'll be used instead of the one im missing? im just wondering if my tuner would be able to disable any sensors causing issues through the link if the link has its own versions of it.
    • what kinds of issues did you run into? mine ran, drove, and idled fine on a r34 gtt neo ecu besides the fuel cut off.
    • hi guys. is a 5/8 drain required? i think i went one size smaller and i have a small issue with blue smoke out of exhaust. i used an old r34 neo turbo so it could either be the drain issue or the turbo seals themselves might not be the best.

    • @Kip It is nice seeing the finish line in sight finally. Unfortunately when I imported it the 99' 5mt RS4S cars weren't legal here and a 260RS was out of my price range. Honesty the 5mt swap wasn't hard itself, it was just sourcing all the parts. @epstein Duncan is the one that actually gave me the info on the R34 console. I used a GRID digital G-sensor and mounted it on the underside of the factory g-sensor bracket and it cleared the pocket in the center console.
