The Fmic that I have has press bends on the piping.

It isn't like bad press bends it is hardly noticible.

If I'm KW chasing do you think it is worth buying 4 90 degree bend mandrels (3 on inlet, 2 on outlet)?

Or would this only help with boost response and lag?

Lag is hardly noticible now with the EBC but it is still there..

I had a look at some of those silicon bends and i think this smiley says it all

:eek::eek: :eek: :eek:

hehe yer..

Turbo fund that keeps getting spent on other things.. :)

Almost had all of the money then i went and upgraded the comp now i'm getting close again and i'm starting to think about suspension.

I'm waiting from a few ppls on a $$ for the GT25 400hp..

Actually on that topic i went to Turbo Tune in Adelaide and they seem to think the GT25 400HP will flow enough to make a good 180rwkw.. I said what.. 180rwkw.. I want more than that.

hrmm.. All i want is to be able to overpower grip in second gear any time.. :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

Same... I'd like to nudge over the 200rwkw mark and POssibly be able to run high 12's with a lowish tyre pressure if need be using the 225'50's.

The Simex that I run at the moment give unbelievable grip.

First gear hardly spins up.. but if i click second a little to quick she still tries to snaky second.

I might be pushing it though I figure that if whatsisname can run 13.1 1/4 2.1 60ft using 216rwkw I should be able to do it with a slightly better 60ft time and a little less power due to less weight.

I hope.

I thought a little about a VG30 turbo as that can get damn close to 200rwkw with adj. cam gears etc BUT.. Reliability of the turbo comes to mind as at the moment I can't afford to waste 500 on a turbo that blows up later on down the track.

Also everywhere i go they say to inspect the turbo as if it is a dud they wont exhange/return it. :) That is the Killer..

I need the turbo to have no problems as I'm going to uni for the next couple of years.. I defered this year...

Tim has suggested that the GT25 that he is able to get which is $1400 will just make 200rwkw with it running out of breath a little up top. but 200rwkw is 200rwkw.

I've got him looking in to a slightly bigger gt25 which should make just over 200rwkw which then i will be happy.. well on paper at least :D

:)

Your Avtar looks nice..

Its a very nice looking 32 Adam.. :)

I'm waiting to see how Clint32's Turns out. :)

Hopefully he doesn't take tooooo long :D

The T04e is an option apart from the fact of having to buy a wastegate etc.. which bumps the price closer and closer to a new turbo that bolts on with an adapter plate..

hrmm.. If it turns out good though i might look at it.

also how have you got 100 more posts than my self.

I log on every day post like crazy (don't post whore but) and still 100 behind you.. :)

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
