This is a warning about a guy by the name of CHAD BARRETT

i have a warning to all skyline and high performance import owners, i beleive if someone is dodgy everyone deserves to know and be warned... especially if he preys on people with skylines or imports, if i don't say something others will continue to get ripped off.... please do not buy from or get involved with a guy by the name of CHAD BARRETT or his girlfirend kirsty who is just as bad as him. he sells parts on EBAY at good prices but gets you to pay then never sends them, he then closes his ebay account and moves on re registers under a different name and starts again, I have been watching him and you can pick who he is, he usually has parts new and used listed for skylines and imports, he will be registered as having little or no feedback or a new user, all his gear is listed as being in QLD he will also have lots of dummy bids by usually 15-20 bids by obvious fake ebayers with no feedback or again newly registered, he may also get you in by talking to you on MSN messenger and telling you what good prices he can get you stuff at or even offer you sponsership if you buy stuff from him....he'll take your money and then lead you on with hundreds of differnt excuses why you didn't get your gear....it got lost in the post, it's stuck in customs, the courier delivered it to the wrong address, ive been stuck in meeting all week at work, the list go's on.

the bottom line is this CHAD BARRETT and KIRSTY are CON's

so if you are considering buying skyline or Jap tuning parts from someone you don't know be sure his name is not Chad barrett (or kirsty) before you put money into their account

if anyone else has heard of this guy or has had similar dealings please PM me as we are working with and puting together information to show that these people are using fraud to obtain money by deception which is a very serious matter, you don't have to have been ripped off on ebay by him just in general is enough infomation to help....

is this the guy that runs that fast and furious place that is advertised in mags and stuff??? Just did a quick search on his name and that turned up. I can't find the thread about all the people he ripped off though anyone got the link?>??

    • Wrong question. There's no point in spending the rather large sum of cash and effort to add turbo, without taking it to the "sensible" limit of the motor itself. If you have to upgrade injectors, etc, then so be it. That is a tiny fraction of what it will cost you to turbo it.
    • Measure voltage at the starter solenoid terminal when the key is at start and it has clicked. If it is really low, then the suspicion falls on the ignition switch (contacts or wiring thereof) as causing a voltage drop instead of sending enough volts to throw the solenoid all the way to engage the starter itself. If it is a decent voltage, then the suspicion is on the solenoid. Might have s horted coil, or might hva dirty contacts. Rip the starter off, dismantle, clean up contacts and inspect winding. It might not be possible to see if there is a short in the winding though. I have a spare starter here that I could measure the resistance of the coil, as a guide to about what it should be, if you need a comparison. <parts hoarder>No you cannot have it.</parts hoarder>
    • lights are on just the one click.
    • Absolutely matters because, while a temperature change will eventually reach a sensor at the end of a static line, the response time is far far far too slow to be useful. Might as well not have a temp gauge at all.
    • When I was eyeing off the 370GT (after deciding I didn't want to spend 30-40k+ to relive my early 20s in an R33) I thought it'd be a good project to add a turbo to it. Now that I have a 370GT, and I've had a couple of chances to open it up, I'm pretty stunned by how much power it makes 🫠 Honestly, the way the VVEL opens it up, it almost feels like there's a little turbo tucked away in there somewhere. It's like Nissan looked at VTEC and said "hold my beer" 😁 Has anyone thrown a turbo into their 370Z or 370GT? Is there a conservative boost level you can run without having to upgrade the fuel system, or are bigger injectors and a bigger pump a given?
