I have for sale my 1997 Isuzu Vehicross.

I live in Mount Gambier SA, but I travel to adelaide a few times a year.

Its a 3 door suv, with a 3.2 litre V6, with 160kw. done 50,000 kms.

It's got an auto gearbox (only came out in auto), normally driving only the rear wheels, TOD (torque on demand) can be selected in high range at speed, adjusting the amount of torque given to the front wheels, depending on a multitude of factors. Low range with all wheels locked in 4wd can be selected only at standstill.

A major service has just been completed last week. even though it has only done 50k, it is a couple of years old, so better safe then sorry. All major belts have been replaced including serpentine and timing belts. Auto transmission (and transfer case) oils have been replaced also with a new transmission filter and fuel filter. Both front and rear diff oils have been replaced. New NGK iridium spark plugs. Front brake pads replaced about 3 or so months ago. There is also a k&n air filter, but that has been in the car for almost 12 months.

Body wise the car is in good nick, as far as i know it has not been in any accident. The bottom of the car is a type of plastic moulding, normally this is a dark grey (unpainted), but ours is colour coded similar to the rest of the car, I have not done it, but i assume it was an option, as a very small number i have seen on the internet have it painted also.

Mechanically the car is fine. I have found out that most of the mechanicals are either rodeo or jackaroo. There is some Vehicross only stuff on it too.

On the road, it drives like a really good car. The ride is very firm, it has kyb competition spec shocks and there is only an inch or so of suspension travel, all of this is standard. Brakes are vented disc front and rear. With the v6 it really pulls for a suv. The exhaust is standard, but it sounds real tough.

All electrics work. The rear visibility is poor, because the spare wheel is in the door (space saver). to compensate for this, it has a colour rear view camera factory mounted in the door (the US version did not get this) and a clarion 7 inch screen near the gear stick shows the picture. dvd and playstation can also be used on it. Will be including $700 Clarion deck cd mp3 player, speakers and 4 channel amp built in its own fake floor box in the back.

There is only a few in australia, I think it could be as little as 25, but i am not sure. I have not seen another on the road in 12 months of owning it.

I'm asking $29,000 ono for it. I'm just about to build my first house and this is the only car my partner and i have, I'd like a more pratical car like a 4 door r34 or new rex.

If anyone wants to contact me, please pm me your number and I will gladly give you a call. Or email me at [email protected]

Thanks for that.

Sounds about right, I was up there around then.

Car is still for sale. this is a very unique car.

I have seen one of these in brisbane repainted in black and 20 inch rims, and it looks awsome. the potential is there.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
