  5. Engine builder has told me to use penrite running in oil, do about an hours worth of driving not boosting it keeping eye on oil levels, drop the oil, fill again with same running in oil, another hours worth of driving, drop oil and put in hpr30, what's the thoughts of this? I thought synth, but he told me not to use synth oil or the motor will go bang, not to use synth oil with the acl h series bearings, my clearances are 2.3tho
  6. Clearances are 2.3tho Also for the squirters, Rob from rips in newzealand Does not use any oil squirters in any of they rb30/25 26 engine combos no matter if its street use or drag

  9. For sale is a brand new oil pump never been used and a nitto collar never been used Looking for $1400ono can post, pick up in Sydney
  10. After a gen gt3540 turbo with .82 rear If you have one let me know
  11. correct this is a built motor and will be running a catchcan to sump, breathers, and also a crack case vent to top of catchcan, engine had mods done to the oil returns that have been enlarge, also when the motor was been built with the nitto pump, engine builder was worry about the 120psi (he said its fine if its a drag car revving its tits off) anyways its set atm with 1 spring and 1 shim he said with the clearances and the oil he told me to use i will be seeing around 80 85psi, he also recommand the high volume sump (which im getting) coz it will suck the standard one dry... (also gotten the same response from two different engine builders today about the high 120psi) infact one told me to remove 1 spring and to put 2 shims in to give me a total of around 80psi.... anyways the higher pressure more oil, fitting restritors to turbo isnt a worry i already know this would be need with a high pressure pump, only thing i was trying to sort out was if i had a tomei pump on 75psi a nitto pump on 75psi would the oil flow be the same? as i think the nitto gearing is bigger then a tomei pump (could be other way around) wouldnt the nitto pump supply more oil flow at the same psi?
  12. And the flow is determine by how much pressure? More pressure more flow?
  13. Ok so, what's the diffence between a tomei pump set to 70psi compared to a nitto pump that is set to 75psi????
  14. I can't comment on how he went about the grub screw but when I showed up with my nitto pump and it been 120psi he did mention about putting the squirters back in, but then he ended up playing with the springs to set the psi So if rb30 blocks don't have oil squirters what is the diffence between a rb30 without squirters to a rb25 with squirters, yes I know rb25 came out with the squirters so lodgic says it should stay there but in this case it's not, just trying to see the points on why the rb25 has the squirters to cool pistons down and to lube the bore, but a rb30 doesn't, so wouldn't a rb30 have problems?
  15. So the guys using non A8 blocks for there rb30/25 would be running no oil squirters? What's the difference between non in a rb30 and none in a rb25??? Assuming some use the non A8 block not to sure what block they use for the 30/25 build
  16. Doesn't the rb30 block end have no oil squirters?
  17. Mine has 1x block and other is 1.5mm with VCT sump has to come off as getting hi volume one so will have a look if squirters are back in, not real worry about pooling of the head as I have all that sorted out
  18. Thanks for your info, but CRD are the ones that told me some rb25 users remove 1 spring....but as it has been stated 120psi is too much pressure hence why tomei pumps are adjusted to around 70psi yes of course it comes down to your clearances oils etc etc, Also I'm not doubting nittos or CRD experience and knowledge as they have been helpful in most cases, but some answers to questions interfere with each other and don't make sense For run in oil I remember engine builder saying HPR30 I think it was, (ill double check) and after run it think it was 15/50 ill double check everything when he reopens
  19. Nitto website says if remove 1 spring psi is 75psi therefore that is already higher then your tomei pump at 70psi, this is just going off if my clearances were the same as yours and same oil restritors etc, plus I have 1 shim in aswell, why wouldn't this work? It be giving me around 90psi... This is the question I would like answered? Yes nitto designed and built the pump with 120psi but some engine builders will tell you that is way too much pressure, therefore why wouldn't the way my engine builder has done my pump work? Seeing people with tomei pump adjust there's to 70psi not 120psi like a nitto pump? These are just questions guys I want my motor to be sweet so answers are great not just send the motor else where, I would like to know your reasons in to not removing 1 spring out of a nitto pump compared to having two, and not just coz it's the way nitto built it I already know this, Thanks for any help guys
  20. No worrys, I've asked the question a million times because tuners and engine builders on say have all said 120psi is way too much psi, nitto recommend not to remove it, but a company that help to develop the pump trial and error have told me guys using rb25det remove 1 spring, So as you can see I get one answer then get another answer from a different source that has help develop the pumps...
