  1. I haven't had time to check the wiring next to the gearbox sensor yet but I will this weekend. If the gearbox switch is broken are they expensive to replace? And I don't know what you mean by there should be 12V on only 1 side of the reverse lamps, shouldn't each lamp be getting 12V each? Also I'm guessing the the reverse lights has no relation to the "transmission control" and "shift lock" fuses since they had to do with AUTO?
  2. So no one knows what the "Shift lock" fuse does or if the "Transmission control" fuse is used on manual? Or anyone know what else I could check?
  3. This might help you: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=35129
  4. The thing is most fog lights that come in new cars are very bright (to me anyway). HIDs aiming into your eyes is already bad enough, now we have to put up with more light from unnecessary fog lights.
  5. Farrrk... people who use fog lights when its sunny, just dark (not raining or foggy) really gives me the shit. It's mainly all the SS and XR drivers, they have them on all the time like they are showing it off like its an exclusive feature. Big deal you have fog lights, does leaving them on enlarge your penis? <_< But what pisses me off even more are Hyundai drivers with their blinding red rear fog light! FFS!! Why do you turn it on, this isnt europe, do you think other drivers won't be able to spot your car? Seriously we don't need a blinding light to spot your damn ugly peice of metal on wheels in front of us, we already vomit at the slightest glimpse of your Hyundai kilometres away! -_- Sorry about the rant.
  6. Hey guys, My reverse lights aren't working on my manual R32 GTS-t. So far I've tried looking at the basic stuff first. I tested both reverse lamps and they aren't blown. I also decided to check the voltage across the reverse light plugs (at the rear bar not gearbox yet) and it was reporting 0.06V in reverse and 0.04V in neutral on both sides... And just before I went to check every fuse under the dash and 2 were blown but I'm not sure if they are related. For starters, wtf does the "Shift lock" fuse do? (Can't be central locking because it's currently working). The "Transmission control" fuse was also blown but isn't this used for Autos only?. (BTW: My car used to be auto) I don't have new fuses on me at the moment so I'll have to replace them tomorrow but can anyone let me know if the reverse lights are related to those 2 fuses and what these fuses do. Thanks BTW: I was going by the fuse labels used here: http://www.skylinegts.co.uk/R32-Fuses.htm
  7. Hey guys, I wasn't sure where I could post this, but I would like to know what some of the details on the screen means: Just need to know what the "2K" means, Prod.M/Y "9002" and "HI.2WD" means. Thanks.
  8. lol each to their own But imo that front bar makes it look like the R32 has had its face squished in, its just flat... It doesn't match with the shape of the bonnet as in how its pointing outwards agressively... which is what i love about the R32 in the first place... the agressive "pointy nose". The other front bar's elements are very nice but how they made the front just a straight cut across to the other side instead of adding curves towards the middle to highlight the agressive look of the R32 really spoilt it for me. Again this is purely personal opinion.
  9. Hey guys, I'll be looking at an R32 tomorrow and was going to get it compression tested but I have no idea what values I should hope for. I looked in the R32 Manual but they only provided the values in some wierd unit which I didn't understand (12.0/300 kg/cm^2). I'm used to checking compression with the psi unit or whatever ie. with numbers similar to 150 per cylinder. I also searched all of SAU and couldn't find any topics similar to my question. So if anyone could tell me what values in psi for compression for the RB20 I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks guys
  10. tbh it looks terrible... that R34 copy front bar just doesn't suit the lines of the R32 at all.
  11. Hey do you have nice pics of any 4 door R34s? I'm in the process of convincing my dad to get one for his next car
  12. yer just my opinion but that wing looks really out of place.
  13. Thats the 107km/h speed buzzer. Something to do with jap road laws apparently. I'm not sure where abouts it is in a Skyline but in the Silvias its just a little box behind the dash. Find it and disconnect it and the noise will stop.
  14. hahah since when did SAU become NS  must be the school holidays again
  15. totally agree with this! pity many others don't see it like that blaming accidents on other factors that are less related compared to this.
  16. This stuff happens because they admire your car and want to see you show it off. I know I try to encourage a drag when I'm in my dad's commonwhore because I actually wanna see that car rip me! I'm not too sure if those ricer lancers or excels think they stand a chance but I know for sure there must be others like me who enjoy watching a nice import (or any car for that matter) just fly past them. ^_^ Although I can see how you get annoyed, when I drive my Sil I prefer not to do stupid things either but sometimes people try and drag you.
  17. CA18DET S13, near stock... around 400-450km per tank
  18. hey mate, the s13s are pretty nice for a first "sporty/performance" car from my experience. you will get more answers from www.nissansilvia.com
  19. lol it could be a japanese boat considering the r33s weight is similar to the bogadores?
  20. my mate had the same problem, it turned out he didnt hook up his vacuum lines properly so try checking those first...
  21. i dont get nissan... wtf is with the 350z style being copied to every model
