  1. Hey thanks for that, yeah i just got this email back from Nengun regarding their clutches: "I will be adding all the ORC clutch range to the site soon. I highly recommend the ORC clutch over the Nismo one. Recently I saw the ORC drift car in action. I was absoulutely amazed at how much pressure the clutch was put under. On the nengun site the Black GTR34 has a twin plate ORC clutch in it. They are so strong and you dont get big quads everytime you have to push the clutch in. I stopped selling the OS brand because the flywheels warp. The light weight ORC Flywheel is 4.8 kg the Nismo one is 6.7 Standard is 9.7kgs. I can sell the Twin plate ORC 709 /700Ps for 113,000 Yen + 23,500 yen for delivery Total 136,500 Yen @AUS ANZ bank rate 77.12 is $1769.96 AUS Regards Brent" Think i'll probably go with this one
  2. Hey is anyone here using the Nismo G Max Clutch for a GTR R33? Whats it like? Similar to an OS Giken? Want a clutch thats going to be driveable on the street and handle the odd launch, heard the OS is good but I can't be stuffed with an adaptor etc. Thanks
  3. SkiksII, i was actually contemplating that, cause the original plan was for 2530s but if the N1s are close enough then its not worth doing. Yeah i lived in canberra for 3 years and the cold is by far the worst, however i still remember a lot fo 40+ days in the summer.
  4. Well im getting it over here for only 36G! Thats everything, stamp duty, tyres the lot, so theres a risk its been flogged but hey money fixes most things
  5. Im interested in other peoples opinions so thanks guys, this car will rarely be my daily driver, more like a weekend car, basically i want it to have all the good things interior and exterior. Yeah i could have bought a V-spec but this is a rarer car that has better go fast stuff (and also i got it cheaper than id been bidding on normal V-specs), ive got more money to play with if things go wrong or i dont like how something is set up. Knore, not sure if it was overly raced or even at all as most of the other stuff on it was fairly standard - im sure i'll find out, if im too worried i'll just get an ASWN warranty. Which brings me to my next question, if its been raced what stuff would normally be the first to go, given the internals have been somewhat strengthened?
  6. Well i actually want a car to have aircon, its too hot over here otherwise and i may be in canberra next year Ive been quoted 1400 for parts and 500 for labour but have friends in the industry who can get me second hand stuff and do the job themselves for free.
  7. Ive been looking for a V-spec at the japanese auctions for ages and managed to get a white N1 yesterday with 80000 on the clock, probably land it for around the 36G mark. Ended up going fairly cheap, now just going to have to put the air con in!

Ok some quick questions This is all i know about the N1: "ALL N1 VEHICLES HAVE STRONGER BLOCK, STRONGER CONRODS, STRONGER PISTONS, LARGER STEEL WHEEL TURBOCHARGERS, NO AIR CONDITIONING, LARGE OIL COOLER, DIFFERENT WATER PUMP, DIFFERENT OIL PUMP, QUICK RATIO STEERING RACK, AND NUMEROUS OTHER SMALL CHANGES" Also they didn't come with a radio or air con (???) How much would they be worth over here and is there anything else different about them?
  9. I too would be very interested in how this works out as its almost identical to my plans. Basically doing your standard filter/exhaust/power fc combo, then probably chuck in some 2530s, clutch, injectors/pump. Let me know how you go. (and any bargains you happen to find!)
  10. I had a kid on a bike ride into the side of mine when i was parked at a mates, did two 5 inch scratches, one at the rear and the other over the door and front right panel (Bounced twice into it). Got a quote - for getting the whole side of the car resprayed $800-900 I hate kids

  13. Cool ferni thanks for that, I was thinking along the same lines but its good to get an opinion off people who have done it or seen it done. What about if you want to go higher, say up near 400kw at the wheels? Can the car still be reasonable to drive day to day?
  14. hey then what do you suggest? I'm looking for a basic guide, of "do this first,' etc so i dont blow anything up. Rather hear from you guys/previous threads than some guy just trying to make a sale.
  15. The car's not over yet, just getting ahead of myself. I know the basic sort of mods but looking to get up near the 300rwkw, its pretty much stock standard. I guess i want to make sure i'm getting the best value for money with each upgrade i do. Planning on the typical things: exhaust, pod filter, intercooler, engine management, fuel, turbo, internals etc. Wondering if someone has asked this question before and i could look for a page that rates turbos etc up against each other.   16. Just bought GTR R33, looking for a good thread on possible mods, turbo, intercoolers, some comparitive articles would be best. Tried the search but not having much luck. If anyone could point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it. Thanks
