  1. These wheels are sitting in the garage at the minute. They came over with an FTO a couple of years back. All I know is that they are Sparco Racing 16", can anyone tell me anymore about them?
  2. Cheers Rezz! Its some how hideously cool. I dont normally like big cars, or 4 door cars, but that that bluebird is sweet!
  3. Ok, what can you tell me about these cars? What motor did they use etc? I tried google-ing but I could only get crappy 90s stuff.
  4. JUN auto mechanic is mainly a garage set-up yes, with a fairly small shop. But well worth a visit, I dare say they would show you around the workshops anyway, as its all fairly open and visable from the street. And as mentioned, it is easy to access by public transport.
  5. Im afraid I cant help you with much. But the taxi idea would cost about the same as actually buying a decent used car out there haha. A rental would be a better idea if you have a licence. As for visiting JUN, I reccomend the Auto mechanic section in Irushima. It was great, a steady flow of amazing cars, and they seemed to welcome me as a brit/white.
  6. Im a UK medium for t-shirts, so I got a large t-shirt from JUN. The thing is tiny! Its like a UK small.

I used to be well into it. Had a GT0 101-B carbon chassis 4WD job (Track) And a Schumacher Fireblade Evo buggy. Both 1/10 scale, and both faaast. Won quite a few races.
  9. Erm, sometimes a demonstration was needed yeah. But alot of the time, it was obvious what needed doing really, if your used to working with the parts anyway.
  10. I simply emailed Mr.Tanaka and asked him. And he said yes . All you have to do is ask.
  11. Haha, Brit food is pretty pethetic. But fish (cooked fish) and chips is so simple, theres not much you can complain about. And the bacon is by far the best bacon you can get :aroused:
  12. Oh yeah the presents! Fot The man of the house, some brushed alu Union Jack cufflinks, for the lady, an English silver rose with amber flower thingy broach. And I didnt have anything shiney for his son, so I bought a Norton motorcycles zippo with a Union Jack in the background from a department store. And I got a few token things - cup, books, calender, olde english style tin of caremels and mint cake. Seemed to go down fairly well with them anyway Thanks for the comments guys, it was the most awesome thing I could imagine.
  13. I asked them if they get much of that stuff, and they said retro cars still come in quite alot.
  14. So for the next 4 days I worked at the machine shop. Polishing, grinding, cleaning and stuff. I didnt take any photos of inside the machine shop, because it was just that.... aload of machines, in a shop. Not as fun as Auto Mechanic, but still a good learning experience, and will look good on my CV hehe. Time to leave Japan, and one last pic. The place was great, the work was great, the people were great and the food was...... the place was great. I WILL be going back. For a longer time deffinately.
  15. Heres a view of the display at JUN mechine shop. I was staying above it. Then it started to get rainy. Really rainy! Infact, it made England seem dry. And then I went to sleep. I woke up, and looked outside expecting it to be nasty. Sun! But then I looked closer and saw aload of broken fences and trees. Seems I slept through the typhoon! Im not the lightest of sleepers.
  16. A Supra parked outside where I was staying. It never moved at all. I felt like offering to move it for him, Wangan maybe. Oh, and the needed foreign sunset pic
  17. The Saturday was spent shopping in Kichijoji. I didnt buy much, but the place was freakin awesome. And some how I ended up in the games arcade and wasted a couple of thousand on that damn Initial D version 3. Evil evil place, I couldnt leave. Sunday I just walked around, finding places that sold western food, cheating I know. Some pictures of the area:
  18. The staff car park was pretty nice too! Silvias, GTRs, 86s. I took this picture: And then one of the workers approached and asked. 'You know driting?'. After some talk about drifting he took me out in his black S15 (in the background of the prelude shot). And the guy was a nutter! Great fun! Now, already slightly dizzy, and bruised from the ultra-stiff S15, the head mechanic waved some keys at me. I followed him to the 200mile Supra and he sat down. Holy sh!t. 'Get in'. Didnt need to tell me twice! Damn those seats were hard! And it became obvious that they were designed for people wearing helmets when we started driving along. The back of my head was so bruised after that ride, but I loved it. Half acceleration was crazy, full acceleration prevented you from breathing! A very blurry shot of the workers and me
  19. After I finished spoiling the bright paintwork of the Supra with my drool, I hear a growl. Wooo more toys! I took a walk over to find out what was going on. A 1970s GTO, in a somehow discustingly cool green on the dyno. Sweet. It didnt sound like an old car though, so I went to the front..... Deffinately not from the 70s! 2.5 Galant turbo motor.
  20. Oooh baby I just couldnt resist getting a guy to take this picture. I think the car suits me, maybe I should get it! Maybe I should get a job first.
  21. The backyard was full of beasts. And then I turn around. I thought something was on fire. 1000bhp and 240ish MPH
  22. Soon, they will play. Amongst the pool of performance, one car stood out: How much power? 'About 1000bhp' . What!
  23. One of the nicest cars there, in my opinion, was with 240Z. Getting an RB26 aswell It was getting a steamy inside, so I went to cool off. Damnit! Outside is even more arousing!
  24. View of the main section. The large space was filled with Evo Need a gearbox? Or even a project block?
