Hundreds of people turned up for the drift meet. Adelaide ppl must be drift deprived! Great day overall - only 2 skylines participated. The rest mainly s13s and a few s15s too. JMS didn’t make an appearance due to an apparent "technical problem" with Denzo's 180sx? I didn’t see their 300kw Skyline either...bit dissapointing. They didnt have much of a presence on the track, despite it being a JMS drift meet.

$5 admission fee is not much considering this is a 4 hr event. I can think of alot other events that costs more than $5!! Besides, the admission goes to the development/future improvements of the track. I think its a worthy cause. So stop whinging about lack of drift facilities in Oz and go to this drift meet to support the cause!! I'll be happy if Aust had 1/10th the number of drift tracks the Japs do. cbb

Any of you guys interested in meeting up before the drift meet and cruising up there together? We can meet in the city (Hackney carpark) at about 3pm and then head off to Pt Gawler. The meet starts at 4pm i think. cbb

My R33 jerks (feels like fuel surge) when I'm accelerating off either 1st or 2nd gear. Strange thing is, this problem only happens as I'm turning (left/right) e.g turning at lights. On the straight it goes smoothly... At first I thought it was the ECU (air/fuel map problem etc). Got a new ECU put in, but that didnt fix it. Anyone know of this problem?! The car's HICAS has been taken out. Could it be the LSD?? Thanks cbb

Thanks for the info guys! Could be the alternator, but not sure how to check. The battery has gone flat before, and I had it slow recharged (with the yellow charger?) for about 2 hours. It all looked sweet and the battery seemed charged. But 3 weeks after...its dead again. I guess the car's only a weekend car, but I dont think its normal for a battery to just wear out so quickly.... cbb

This is really pissing me off! My skyline's car battery is flat...again! I suspect that there is a leak somewhere. I've got all this electrical aftermarket equipment (boost ctrl, turb timer, alarm)...could they be causing the leak? Is there a way for me to find out where the leak is? Common battery problems I'm not aware of?? You fellow skyliners exp the same problem?? cbb

my R33 has a K&N pod filter, and it makes a fluttering noise when I take my foot off the pedal. Quite a nice sound really. I've also got a Greddy Type S BOV and it makes this "lazer" high pitch noise when the car is on boost (when changing gear). Both goes really well together... CBB ------------------
