What joel said should work.. start the car.. unplug.. just dont wait too long.. you dont want to be working on a hot motor!
-
I didnt bother doing that.... just spilled a bit of fuel lol
Just be careful.. the line is pressurised and will squirt out...
I dont actually know where the fuse is in a 32.. mine is in a S13 and I had the loom made the to suit the s13 fuse box
-
well if you got any toubles let me know... it's quiet here at work so will probably be crusing the boards all day
-
arother thing... the little metal clips holding the plugs on... dont do what I did and loose one in your engine bay v hard to find again!
-
Nope just an allan key... 4.5mm or 5mm from memory... once the crossover pipe is off there are some coolant hoses that run to the bottom of the t/b that you will have to remove (there will be some spillage) and unplug the tps.... I think thats all...
while I had the t/b off I also gave it a good clean with some carby cleaner.. .
-
I recently did the same thing.. did not need to take the top on the plenum off, but i did take the t/b off

A mate of mine had it down near where the stock cooler was... worked ok, but had to take off the front bar to change/check the filter
-
Nice time roy.. considering
'low 12's is a big call! I'll be intrested to see your progress
What suspension are you running?
-
Thanks SK, much appreciated ! will be ordering the lot in the near future
-
Does anyone use it? Is it a good EBC?
-
Don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if the PFC boost controller works with the AP PFC?
-
My times would be crap... have super hard HKS Hyper D coilovers.... no weight tfr there
Still intrested in what time you do, seeming I am aiming for a similar power figure
-

Ok so I'm thinking of getting either this turbo or a RB25 turbo.
What is leading me to spend the extra $$ on the 17C is the steel exh wheel, this seems to be the single most limiting factor of the RB25 turbo.
Or am I barking up the wrong tree seeming it only has the 8cm exh housing? This seems to be the limiting factor of the 17C......
Any feedback?

I have been reading up bigtime on this turbo, it does not seem that this is a Trust turbo... can anyone confirm?
edit: I just found a listing on the CAPA website listing this as a trust turbo
-
I just read somewhere (lost the page already ) that the td06-17c is maxed at 230rwkw !? does that sound right?
-
-
Thanks for your reply Roy! Yeah my target is 200-220rwkw (would be happy with 200!) so this seems to fit the bill.... and the less lag the better...
The price is good, it's a direct bolt on, internally gated.
15-17psi by 4k sounds good to me...
The worst thing will be waiting for it to arrive !
Thanks for the rebuild option! I never thought of it that way, and it's a great option... tho will the internal gate struggle to control the boost?
-
If you are intrested (or can read them-I cant!)
Edit : Just realised this map is for the std Mitsubishi item, the turbo I am looking at is the Trust item
Changing injector plugs...intake manifold off...any cautions?
