  1. Hey people who have power fc. When you had it installed and tuned how long did it take?? Did you have to leave your car at the workshop for a few days?? Just wondering as im not a big fan of leaving my car at a workshop.
  2. So 10 psi,Turbo back exhaust, filter, fmic, power fc. would anything else be required if someone does these mods?? Like fuel pump,injectors etc?? Im wanting to do the above mods but want to make sure I do it the right way first time round with all the required equipment to make the car run safe but with alot more power.
  3. Well i was searching around this excellent forum to check out some stuff and some interesting things came up. For one the issue of the R33 factory ecu being a pain when you do mods because it makes the car run really rich and bad also that adding a fmic creates lag. I have a standard series 2 R33 and i want to do 3 mods but unsure now because of these issues. The mods im planning to do are - turbo back exhaust with split dump -panel filter - FMIC ( im going to buy the one that attaches to factory pipes so no cutting into chassis or fan blades) The thing is would the ecu crap itself if i did these mods or i would i be better off safety wise getting a safc and tuned by a pro, i would go the power fc but im not interested in boosting at all as i want to increase power by a bit and have the cool racer look with the fmic, thats where the issue of the FMIC comes in, do fmic's increase lag?? im going to have a full turbo back so i will have a minor increase in boost so yeh will it affect drivability?? What are your thoughts as I want to discuss these things with you skyline savvy people before i go and do anything. thanks for your replies in advance.
  4. sweet neo in a 32 sorry i find that pretty cool. Yeh well with mine its not that bad though its kinda tempermental my idle it has a mind of its own. when its at idle its firm and doesnt move but is not always the same idle. Sometime its between 650 and 800. On occasion it goes to 1000rpm but I rev it or turn the steering wheel and it come back down. its more of an annoyance than anything else. Wouldnt mind my car idling at one exact spot all the time but ive taken it to nissan,mechanic and they cant fault my idle so next year im going to do some mods and get a safcII get it all tuned by a pro it should be ok then.
  5. Anyone have pics?? So all i do is remove plug spray contact cleaner then attach?? Resetting ecu is safe right?? I know you disconnect battery then turn on the lights till battery drained and stuff and keep steering wheel straight so hicas doesnt stuff up then reconnect then go for a long drive anything else i should be doing??
  6. AAC valve?? tried to run a search on what this is and where it is located all I could find is that if i clean it with contact cleaner along with my AFM and make sure spark plugs are good idle should be sweet. So what is the aac valve and where is it located on a R33 RB25DET engine.
  7. Ive done a search and have read tonnes and tonnes of stuff but nothing descibes what I have. The thing is I drive the car goes well everything fine sometimes car idles at 650 sometimes 700 sometimes 800 the thing that is wierd is that at the lights on occasion idle goes to like 1100 and just stays there for a whole drive to next lights again 1100 i turn the steering wheel wait a few seconds and idle goes back under 1000rpm. I have read the skyline idle is a common thing but is it common that idle runs smooth but at different rpms. Would ECU reset do anything in helping the car pic a idle rpm and sticking to it. I check the TPS switch its all good. just strange thats all

  9. Anyone know more bout the blitz LM intercooler kit?? is this just a simple bolt on and u dont drill into the chassis ,leave the fan alone and keep your standard snorkel and air box???

Hmmmm so the original hybrid are ok then ay,hmm sounds ok but like i said i dont want to be cutting in the chassis and fan, if i go a intercooler aswell there is no way of saving the standard snorkel used with the airbox ay thats gotta go?? Is there such a thing as a direct bolt on where nothing needs to be touched and just goes on and works well????

  12. Cool so that was a way better response. So as im not intending to boost im looking at a tube and fin design or go the R33 GTR FMIC. cool. 400 x 280 x 76mm intercooler is this a decent size or does it leave gaps in the front bar.
  13. So hybrid cant be the only good option. im sure people have more knowledge on the correct size and type of intercooler i should be going for my application

Noooo im going overseas in a month so all my money is going to go there. when i get back im going the 3 inch turbo back straightaway then get the front mount and power fc done together. so hybrid ay hmm i heard your need to trim the fan down to clear the piping and you need to cut a whole in the chassis. Not real fond of these ideas especially cutting the hole dont want it to get rusty and stuff later on.
  15. Ive searched in regards to this and I cant get a decent answer. After reading some other posts it has come to my attention that choice of intercooler is a inportant thing because if you get a bad one then it will mess up your car correct?? I have read that getting a massive cooler is a bad thing because it can block the radiator and cause overheating, then ive heard some intercooler that are big have a special design that help the air through the cooler so the radiator can get some relief. Im confused personally i want to get a FMIC because they look good im not going to raise boost or anything. But I want a good one and im not willing to save money and put a cheapie in I want a decent FMIC which will do the job right. at the mo i have a stocky series II R33 but my expected list of mods are as follows. - 3 inch turbo back exhaust with twin dump pipe - GFB Stealth FX adjustable BOV (FYI for anyone lookin to get a BOV this is a good BOV for skylines ive been told so my car doesnt have stalling probs or idle probs as you can adjust how much air goes to the atmosphere and make sure enough goes back into the car) - Power FC - Front Mount intercooler once I figure out which are the best ones. Ive been told you can also get FMIC that use the factory intercooler piping in order to avoid cutting the chassis and fan. anyone know whick intercooler these are or which intercooler will be the best for my application. Thanks
  16. So this underlining if I take it off it wont stuff anything up will it?? So its just sound deadener and thats it??
  17. they now have firmware 2.0 fixed all the bugs and comes with the psp when you buy it. cheers im going to get a psp soon. woo hoo
  18. Im thinking about going for a panel air filter but do you get the cool induction noise from these?? The pods suck i was told because they suck in hot air even cause probs when you box them. SO anyone have a panel air filter do they sound good??

  21. I have the same prob but once car is warm goes away but doesnt increase with speed though. mechanic said my case was the lifters and thicker oil will help but nothing to worry bout. not to sure on ur case though
  22. I met a guy who has only the safc II with boost at 10 pounds,front mount,turbo back exhaust , panel air filter and properly tuned I think he got like 185-190kw at the wheels. now thats a pretty quick street car
  23. Aftermarket computer for only exhaust and pod??? just reset your ecu and it will run mad!!! If you dont want to reset the ecu just drive it around for abit and ur ecu will auto learn the new mods.dont even worry about it now. whenever you up the boost and go for a front mount and if you want a blow off valve then go the safcII or power fc.
  24. with the xforce exhauts did you guys get rid of the silencers?? if so does taking the silencer off leave holes in the muffler and ruin it??
