  1. At last check there were 5 spots left. A lot of people are asking about paying to get on the list. Forms get you on the list, payment keeps you on the list ;-) We will have a reserves list as said above. There are normally a few that drop out. Please make sure you have a mobile number on your form so we can call you if there is a spot. The list will be updated in the morning.

  4. So you two are simply in each others spot? If so, credit to Josh, you beat Thai. You three did awesome. Jake.. you need a co-driver. Jett, you need a turbo car Maaaark. 7th is damn good in your boat. Consistently fast times mate. You would have had another 90 points if you could remember where to go. Reality trumps theory though Whats this mean for the s13?
  5. RESULTS are done. They will be up soon, waiting on one more thing beyond my control. Who tried to click it? Where do people think they came? Unacceptable excuses: -Ducks -Diffs -Not my car
  6. Leon, thanks for the keys to the ranga mobile. Awesome fun. Thanks Wayne for organising all the volunteers. You make life a lot easier! Bec, good work with all the paperwork to get this event going. Aaron - Thanks for sponsoring the event. www.importmonster.com.au To everyone who helped out on the day its much appreciated. The day ran like clockwork because everyone was on their A game. 51 cars, the mega wang and two fairly big morning maps and we still got through the whole sched. Next time we run the mega mini we will do a call out to anyone with nice paint and a broom to come along and help sweep it . It had been messed up since we last used it. Great seeing all the new entrants. If you had fun, spread the word. Results will be up in the next week.
  7. No worries Clive, Cameron your in. Let me know if you can't. make it
  8. You only need to remember the map your about to do. It helps to watch people ahead of you, however, that could be ash, and it will be wrong, so study the event sched

  10. That we wouldn't care about so much, however i would suggest something like velcro-ing it down so it doesnt get trashed.. The big picture is anything loose that can impede the driver or the operation of the car is a no no. Things that can get loose in the boot/behind you might not hit you but it can be a fair distraction. Its better to be concentrating on driving than wondering whats flying around back there.. Spare helmets are always a good one. First corner and you scare the crap out of yourself when it flies across the car
  11. Short answer, no. On the topic of items in cars, floor mats need to come out also.
  12. Delving into the past a bit there martin! How about we combine the two, go forwards a few years and have russ spinning this time:
  13. Adis, great your entering! Can you please send me another entry form with you name on it and your car details. Between your post and diclaimer ive put you on the list, i just need it on an entry form Entry list updated. Only 4 spots left! Interesting field, lots of different cars and heaps of new names! On that, its going to be important that people get to Deca nice and early Saturday morning as it will take a bit more time to sort out so many new licences. Quicker we get that done the more time we have on track
  14. We take up a lot of big dollar gear and in 6 years (4 times a year) nothing has been pinched. Everyone keeps an eye on everyones stuff. As for the questions re unreg/unroadworthy cars, this event has nothing to do with road rules. Only thing we care about is that the car is safe.
  15. Good to see a bunch of new names on the list. Still a few spots left, get on it!
  16. Someone was fcking with my list. Back to normal.. So i hear jake is going to have nearly 300 atw thanks to Femno.. My money is on him for sure
  17. I love a good S vs R debate. Sometimes its just easier to let results do the talking tho. List is updated. Keep them coming, good to see lots of new names! Dont let the trash talking put you off, its all just fun.
  18. Ever wanted to go as hard as you like in your car on private roads and 100x100m skid pan? Thinking of getting into a bit of motorsport? Want to learn how your car behaves on the limit? Then this is the event for you! And if its your first time SAUVic is offering a huge discount for our September event: $50 entry - Conditions: This is your first SAU Deca Event & you are a SAUVic member. Normally $85. EVENT THREAD We are trying to attract new members to our awesome event. It is the best entry level event which im sure many people will attest to below. One of the biggest things we have found with new entrants is that they are unsure of what to expect and therfore do not enter so we will try to dispel some of the myths: FAQ's: Q: Is this event good for someone with no experience? A: This is the BEST first event. You will learn SO much about car control! If you are thinking about entering track days it is highly recomended that you enter a DECA to get the basics of car control. Q: What do i need to do to my car to enter? A: Basically you need to bolt in a fire extinguisher and have the car in a track worthy condition. More details can be found on the entry form. Q: Does it matter what kind of car i drive? A: Previously, the field has consisted of everything under the sun from stock family cars through to high end euro race cars. You DO NOT need 'power' to have fun or be competitive. Q: What licence do i need? A: The most basic licence requirement is a AASA 'club racing licence'. This costs $50 per year. Q: Is it hard on my car? A: Hardly. Most runs go for less than a minute. Surprisingly there is little wear on tyres. However, you are able to give your car a harder time if you choose . Q: Is it competitive? A: The event is all about fun. Events are timed and there is some fun rivalries however a lot of people just enter for the social side and the fun of driving. Q: What if i dont know anyone? A: Everyone was once in this position. We are all friendly, like minded people so it will take no time to make some great friends and contacts. Q: Can you take passengers? A: Simple answer is yes. There are some requirements and a disclaimer. Q: Is it expensive? A: No. This is the cheapest value for money motorsport event you can enter. It is low impact on your car, does not use much fuel and entry is cheap. SAUVic do not run this event to make a profit. Q: What else goes on? A: Most people come up to Shepparton on the Friday night. Saturday night it is somewhat of a tradition to go out for dinner then head out drinking. Its not a requirement and plenty of people simply make it a day trip but its a great social weekend if you do choose to stay. 19. Entry list will be updated tommorow. If you name isnt on there tommorow night let me know. Need the word to be spread. for some reason people arent into cheap, fun motorsport events where you cant get dicked. Ash, you double entering the gtr? that will be 3 teams so far... guaranteed second or third
  20. Do you mean sign up to the event or sign up as member? If you wish to enter you need to send in an entry form. You do not need to be a member to enter deca. The more the merrier people, bring friends along. For those who know Deca, we will be ruining the mega mini Wang again. Not sure how many times we are going to be able to run it as the surface is getting tired...
