  1. HAHA. Rowdy will be available all day if you need someone to psych you up before your run. On a more serious note, we need people to start thinking about bringing along some volunteers who can help out on the day. Last Deca was a struggle and as a result we will be organising volunteers at the start of drivers briefing as apposed to after. Basically, if we cannot get people, the day will not start. Martin or I will start a Volunteers thread in the next day or so with all the jobs we need to fill for the day to go ahead. These jobs are by no means hard and are usually more fun than just watching. These jobs basically include Timing, Flagging and Hat Removal. The day is split in half, of which we need the majority of volunteers in the morning. (approx 10) The second half of the day does not require as many volunteers. (6 people). Also, there is noone on the reserve list so if your keen to enter there is a very good chance you will be in! Entry list updated. Ryan

    Car Licence

I agree with the above. Having a auto option is just another flaw in a rediculous licencing system. All driving instructor cars should be manual and everyone should have to get lessons instead of their parents bad habits... for a start.
  8. Entry List started in 1st post. Team Supras have entered this time?!

Very keen to get back there and have another shot.. still quicker than you im kinda aiming for the 1st. sounds likes its going to be an r32 fest! Going to suss out new tyres too... My winton time is a 136.8

  13. Other winton thread Troy is spot on. Besides the fact winton is booked up there is still a lot you need to do to have a realtively well run day. The great thing with winton is they do supply a lot of people to do COC, recovery etc, but its the behind the scenes organisations for groupings, sign ins and what not that takes up a great deal of time. If your keen to organise events it could be wise if you got involved with the motorsport committee. Even though we arent running a sprint day this year it is still on the cards for next year. we have all the pricing and info already, just need to set up a date for 2011. There is also the possibility of other tracks next year.
  14. it certianly got hot but held up alright.
  15. Sandown 1, me 0. Thanks rowdy for your helicopter bush mechanics and Alex with the S15 for letting me dismember his busted car for spares. the 180 will not rest until it does a respectable time at sandown. well done Russ, Tim and Mick and Richo and Ant. its hard to say but i think the water on the track was worth 1ish second. The water on the last turn really hindered getting onto the front straight.
  16. im in. its been too long without hitting the track plus i have a ton of terrible lifeless and treadless 55's to get rid of. where else would you do it but Sandown in the wet!?
  17. Can the following people please send me their bank details via PM for refunds: Alan Calleja Brad Archbold Jesse Carnie Jimmy Wong Reade Clouston Antony Ivancic
  18. GTR's simply rock on the skid pan. all the advantages of a RWD with the ability to haul out of turns... hence why 90% of Decas have been won by them. They will be done this week mate. Its good to get opinions and ideas like this. The back track 'bus stop' or 'chicane' or what ever people want to call it is in the safest position possible, short of having a second one futher up. The chicane is where it is because there is an almighty big tree half way up that straight and we wanted people to be driving slow and straight past it. if it were further up the straight you would be passing the tree at a rediculous speed and also braking and turning at the same time. The braking point into the basketball court is a challenging stop because of all the patchwork on the track but it also teaches you a lot about braking. As i think Rusty said, you have to make the most of the indian file and 80% runs. you need to pick your braking points and get the feel. As for the knockout battle at the end we get mixed reactions when we run it. the crowd and the semi competitive cars like it, but those who get knocked out first round arent a fan as they only get one run... in saying that it will most likely be at the next deca Here is some incar from the weekend anyway: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="960" height="745"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" />

  20. RESULTS Revised as of 14/7/2010 Congratulations to Matt Femino and Dean Taylor!
  21. yes yes, they are done, just upload issues... will be up in morning. sorry for the delay.
  22. is that a question or a statement? either way i think it needs a reword
  23. Thankyou to everyone who helped out officiating through out the day. Anna, Tim, Campbell, Bec, Martin, Ben, Mat, Tony, Rusty G and Rusty C, Mick, halle and i think there were a couple of other vest wearers but brain is still a bit busted... Also, with the guys from the normal committee helping out the motorsport committee the day ran even smoother. Thanks guys. And to everyone who helped clear the skid pan at the end of the day, that was a great help! Next deca we will double our scrutineers so we can pump people through and get out on track on time. It would help if people turn up on time also We also need more people to bring helpers with them. we didnt have enough people until the very last minute. Results will be done tommorow night and posted wednesday. Should be interesting as there were a lot of hit cones and mistakes made by nearly everyone.
  24. one course.. awesome. Just wait till you see what we have planned if it will get through insurance
