i select HOTWIRE and it goes to in:01 out:01 then i press next and it goes to sensor cal. which has 01 01 or something..where do i get the NO.4 thing your talkin about.. i installed it and now it runs like a bag of shit..on boost it hesitates, doesnt pull anywhere near as hard and has flat spots. idle and normal driving isnt as bad. what could it be? ive tried 0ing out everything so yea... can someone enlighten me how i can run normal shit.. i cant download the instructions because my computer wont let me view PDF files...so any info would help cheers.
-
what you mean by type 4? what is karman? and the hot wire function comes up with sensor calculation and sensor no...
-
good work man, any other settings i should know about so it runs like stock? before i get the **** tuned?
-
ok what series or number AFM is the rb25? in says something about in:01 out:01 or something
-
does anyone have a copy of the instructions which ISNT .pdf, my stupid pc is shit and wont open any pdf files..if so could you attach? cheers
-
ok anyone got any instructions, i am fairly competent with electronics so its all good, just need some guidance and or instructions, also does it have base settings for when i install it and i want to drive it to get tuned? or will i blow the bastard up? rb25det by the way
-
can i install it and drive to get it tuned? does it run standard maps until its modified? or will it **** with the standard settings and will i blow the thing up if i drive it?
-
yea cheers, i can get hold of some rb20det coils so ill check them out and see how i go. thats all i needed to know. my miss is fairly bad on cruising throttle so ill probably be able to pick which one is being the bastard. thanks
-
ok, im fairly sure one of my coil packs is failing causing a random missfire on idle and on cruising throttle. now the missfire is a little too random to just pull the plug off and see which one is causing it so i was just wondering whether like the rb20det coils you can sus out which one is screwed by taking an ohm reading on each one and if anyone has an idea on the specs. Also, are the rb20det/rb25det coils the same? cheers

also, it wont stop bogging down until i let go of throttle, could go as low as idle if i wanted to..so does the fuel and spark limters bog it down that much? it would eventually pick up again if it was the limiters.
-
its not that i bounce it off the limiter often, its just the satisfaction that it will run cleanly if need be. all these people are sayin learn throttle control, learn throttle control, when clearly its not about that, i must explain a little better, as SOON as it hit the limiter, no bouncing off it, even without WOT, it still does it, sometimes doesnt even need to hit limiter, it just goes BRRRRR, looses revs and power and sometimes backfires hard. always when its under load. sorry to confuse the subject but yea im not one of these 'lets just flatten it around a corner' style drivers.
-
sometimes, well most of the time i have it flat stick or slight throttle it bounces off the limiter and bogs down, missfires and slowly looses revs and power, its like what happens when your spark plug gap is ****ed...it was doing it with a gap of .8 then i went to a .7 but still does it. if i back off and back on the throttle it will sometimes get better but once it hits the limiter again itll bog down, missfire and loose revs even with foot flat or slightly, its like as if its surging out. this is mainly halfway through a slide (off street). all i want it to do is bounce off the limiter cleanly for peace at mind. whats a solution? should i close or open gap more or is it something else? timing perhaps? i got no idea cheers.

im after a stock rb25det Air flow metre if you got one, chances are ill buy it off ya name your price
-
i bought another tps today, it still does it so im gonna have a look at O2 sensor and see if thats it, what are they worth? also, i cant get mine out....its too close to everything else to get a spanner on it.

Plug in Link EMS for rb20det or rb25det
RYanR31 replied to czy18e's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
if you still have it when MR Tax man gives me my money then ill be very interested... -
yea the way you said it is the way i said, you can just change that pipe between the turbo and the AFm because the pipe that usually goes to the pipe from the rocker cover wont be needed anyways so yea. you can either keep the standard pipe going between the rocker covers and use the 3rd pipe to run ONE pipe to the catch can or you can run two seperate ones and block off the 3rd, then run the intake pipe to the unvented catch can. The PCV valve is on the drivers side of the drivers side rocker cover and is a one way check valve which doesnt allow boost to pressurise the crank case. this can be blocked off. i think the intake pipe is also a PCV valve.
-
perhaps a non vented can, one hose from each rocker cover to the catch can(or use the standard cross over pipe and use the third pipe to go to catch can), another hose from the can to the intake so the oil is caught by the can before it goes into the intake, and blocked off PCV. this will keep the system enclosed and will keep the idle stable without it breathing through a filter on the catch can. This will enable the same sort of setup but with a catch can in the middle to catch the oil. (obviously)

also, the car is very drowny and sometimes feels as tho i need to give more acceleration to keep momentum up...sound like its running rich as hell
-
came across a small missfire a few weeks ago and its gradually got worse and worse, its only when im cruising under cruising throttle, when i say cruiseing throttle i mean when im resting my foot on the accelerator to maintain 60 etc. It starts to missfire quite a bit until i accelerate the slightest bit and it disapears. It runs fine when under full load. Is this my THrottle position sensor? its missfireing that bad that it jerks around the car back and forth when cruising down the road. very frustrating, also is the rb20/25 tps the same?
-
sounds bad, if i were you id take it back and say its detonation, for now, id retard the timing a little to be on the safe side, or just not thrash it. rb25s dont like detonation

very interesting, nice work

im in need very badly of a throttle position sensor for RB25det if you have one lying around, send it to me, ill pay you money!
-
IF you got a Throttle position sensor OR Air Flow Metre let me know, im in adelaide and willing to pay all postage fees obviously make an offer cheers Ryan
