  1. But cops can still demand u to go to Regency then and there for a mecahnical inspection or ID check cant they or not?
  2. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/252383-i-got-pinned-for-not-having-an-cat-converter/ ^Crap looks like what i said would happen did so exactly to a bloke from Vic, 1500$ on the spot fine for a de-cat. Thats deff made me think twice now, they could prolly fine that much for external gate/s and screamer pipe/s
  3. lol. I went through Regency on my 33 once when it was defected, not knowing the greddy plenum was illegal cuz it changes emissions he reckons, thats a nightmare of a job to replace but i had to. So considering the cat is the number one factor when it comes to emissions control, i thought they would pay it closer scrutiny...just imagine if u were pulled over and checked on the spot for it would be a huge fine/money maker I remember once when i brought a car from John Verban, Regency made me replace the brake hoses on front and rear cuz they had Japanese writing and said there wasnt aloud to be any writing on them and mine had Japanese writing on them as youd expect lol. That would be the weirdest thing ive encountered b4. Other then that i even passed regency with a big rust hole in the lower rear quarter panel (later i got fixed) because it wasnt structural.
  4. EDIT: "248 rwkw @ 20 PSI dropping to 16 PSI and 520 nm torque!! on 100 RON E10" (s15/GTX2863)
  5. copy n pasted this "Did an SR20 last week with a GTX2863 (with 0.64 AR rear). S14 SR20DET in Datsun 1600 on Dyno Dynamics dyno running 98 RON fuel. Impressive little turbo that delivered exactly what I was expecting – significantly more power than the T28 with only a slight lag penalty. The impressive part is how much more power! We saw 230rwkw (= about 380 hp at crank) on 17psi from an S14 SR20 with stock cams. Comparison based on other SR's I've tuned with std cams on same dyno (I use 15psi as my standard full boost figure): std T28 = 200rwkw on 15psi, making 15psi at 3300 to 3500 GTX2863R = 230rwkw on 17psi, making 15psi at 3750 GT2871R (52t) = 215rwkw on 17psi, making 15psi at 4000 to 4300 What remains to be seen is how it performs once cams are fitted and what happens at higher boost levels. Cams traditionally give 20rwkw gain on ANY SR20. So that’d make 250rwkw on 17psi from this little beasty! That’s really worth talking about! " Basically a disco spud on steroids, couldnt believe the smaller 71 made more then the gt2871. Another guy from Adelaide on NS put the same gtx2863 on his s15 with step 1's, made exactly 250rwkw on 17psi, he reckons he wil get 260rwkws.. but the gtx2867 would be even deadlier
  6. www.boostwerx.com ^ Dave Henry holds the official fastest IR6 stock bottom end Supra, he sells the NA-Turbo kits for supras
  7. what if the brought the car and didnt even know about it. Thats what im saying i dont even think regency check it which youd think they would
  8. gota commend u on a quality build man, must be hard financially even at the best of times when sponsours come on board, you've still gota dip into you're own pockets, not the cheapest hobby around. Awesome for sticking at it for so long, many drivers throw in the towelso its good u stuck it out. Really good driving, only thing i'd say is on some of the battles youre lettin jump to much of a headstart, makin it hard 2 catch up. p.s The Gtsr name/badge would be good 4 a sr20 r32
  9. I meant a smashed out cat, not an aftermarket one, so u can't tell from the outside..
  10. what about the T04z? They make that power and then some all day, infact it's what Denzo has on his drift s15/RB30 so its good for response
  11. Im surprised at Regency they dont check for straight through cats considering how many people have them and the fine for not having a cat is huge! All they would need to do is send a flexible cord through the rear exhaust and if it goes straight through the cat...then busted.. Hopefully they dont tho
  12. I guess no one replied...did u end up getting the ar and if so was it a lemon or was it alright?
  13. 400hp is heaps for street, im all about responsiveness and reliability, more hp then that only means there will be less goin on b4 it comes on and then BOOM snaps ya neck lol. I prefer linear power pull from the getgo, and atleast at that hp mark u dont need a rebuild/forgies! Glad u got it all sorted out now, i know its a nightmare when ya troubleshooting, and the mechanics love it cuz they make more money guessin whats goin on while we go broke as a joke lol
  14. Far out bro, i think this whole build is rediculous and throwing away money u won't get back, hope u realise a 2JZ is good for 600hp stock internals!! The worlds fastest NA-Turbo supra runs 7.77, thats right with NA Bottom end!! Even a 1JZ VVT will make rediculous power and has higher potential over 33 rb25 and will last longer. U can buy these motors with everything u need for way less. But if u want most bang 4 ya buck, i'd go rb25 neo - More torque over r33, stronger internals, VVT, newer/lesskm's. Just thrown on a head gasket and youre good to go for some serious HP depending on supporting mods. Like others said it's in you're best interests, both HP and financially to cut youre losses and stop b4 it gets way out of hand! I dont mind a 30/30 as the single cam can be ported and get good power, but next you'll be saying to scap the E and go with C (Carby) to get more power. You've turned a RB25DET into a RB25DEBT, cuz b4 it even turns over youll have no money left.
  15. Did u check the compression at all? I know 26's get really tired after 100 000km's If all else has failed i'd run a comp test
