Well, I just got back from the honeymoon late yesterday... major bummer having to come back!! I must send out a HUGE thankyou to John (r33skyliner) and Andrew (Bunta), as well as their lovely partners, for coming up from Brissy and helping to make the day a big success! The guys and their cars were awesome - on time, very patient, and went out of their way to help out... even coming back and dropping off some keys after one of the bridesmaids left them in the car! I won't forget it guys - I owe you both big time!! (check your PM) I'll post up some pics as soon as they come in...

It's strange that we don't run into each other very much 85URK - I live only a street or two away from you!!

Sunshield are actually one of my clients - they do all the rust proofing (including electronic), tinting, car security, paint/fabric protection, turbo timers, cruise control etc... being one of my clients, I got them to quote me for electronic rust, immobiliser and tinting when I first got my car, and they were slightly more expensive than Tint Mart (who I eventually went with and who are not one of my clients). They have tinted a couple of our work cars though which came out quite good, but I don't know how much my boss payed for that to be done. David does seem to know what he's talking about, and if you're happy with the quotes you've received, I don't think you'll have any trouble with his work. He's been around for a while, and I haven't heard anything bad about him or the business. Hope that helps a little.

Probably late November 2006...

PM sent, thanks Mud, Bunta & impact_blue!

PM sent, thanks John!

As per my original post on 11th November ; As there was quite a bit of interest from red owners (and a purple), that is not out of the question either. No big deal if everyone forgot and already has plans for that Saturday. Thanks!

OK, we are just over a week away from the big day (aaaarrgh! ) - can I just get a more definite show of hands as to who is willing and able to help me out on Saturday 14th January with my wedding. I can PM the details (including what's in it for you ) to those interested in providing their cars for the day. Thanks everyone!!

Rite Price are actually one of my clients, but I wouldn't buy from Richard... more like the Wrong Price. I headed down to Springwood to get mine - ended up over at Motorman Imports where Derek did me a pretty good deal and went out of his way to find exactly what I was after. Looking back, I probably could have got mine a little cheaper, but I was young and dumb and rushed into it a bit...

Yeah thanks Erin and crew for another great day out... I did learn one lesson though: put sunscreen on before arriving at the cruise destination!! - in the hour that we hung around at Aspley I went from human to lobster... The flamage show was awesome!... but maybe it was your flames that lobstered my face - my paintwork was unharmed though, so it was well worth it! B) Thanks for letting me tag along back to the coast... I didn't take too many photos, but here's one:

Thanks for the advice people - I'll check out Muffler Men (they're only a street away from where I work which is good, and I got a fairly good quote from them last year) as well as Caloundra Exhausts, and I'll let yas know how I go... I'm having a slow day, so I'm not quite sure what the "open to folding stuff" is all about...

Don't be silly - why would you want to respray your Skyline white if you had a midnight blue one??? I suppose I could just respray it back to midnight blue once I'm done with it ay?
-
Thanks for all offers so far! The date will be 14th January (Saturday) for an afternoon wedding (around 2-3pm... ish) - I'll tally up the offers a little closer to the date and give everyone the full details then. Thanks again everyone! Oh and Daniel, I love black Skylines - just not for a wedding... maybe for my funeral... not in the near future though - touch wood!
-
I would think the one on the east side (heading towards Brissy)...
-
Sounds good to me... B)

She's the one that suggested asking fellow Skyliners - whether or not she has properly thought through getting in and out, I have no idea! Obviously if we could find someone with a 4-door, that would be optimal...
-
Would you be interested if I did? (I have a wine red Skyline, so shades of red probably wouldn't be too bad either...)
-
Just trying to gauge numbers of Skyline owners on the Sunshine Coast that may be interested in helping me out for my wedding in January. I am preferably looking for white Skylines, but at this point silver or other lighter coloured cars (probably not black ) would also be ok - the wedding is going to be a very non-traditional summer wedding, and will feature plenty of colour, so if you own a well presented Skyline and are interested, please let me know. Thanks!!

Hey, Just wondering if anyone could recommend any Exhaust shops on the Sunny Coast (preferably not up Noosa-way)... I'm looking at getting extractors and the exhaust done, but I may just order the Coby extractors from NZ and get someone to fit them while they're doing the exhaust if custom ones are too expensive (I got quotes early this year ranging from $600-$1500 for custom extractors)... any opinions/recommendations/places to avoid? Also, I would love to not have to worry about the extractors and exhaust rusting up here on the Coast - anything I should specifically ask for?? Thanks!

I agree that the Sunny Coasters should probably just start the cruise from Aspley (c'mon guys, it's a bit of extra fuel and a little less sleep, but it's for the kids! ), but I'm cool with meeting up at whatever servo along the way... we'll just need to clarify which servo is which! (which big one has Maccas/KFC/etc., and has a twin on the other side of the hwy?)
-
Last year the cruise didn't follow the Bruce Hwy north to the Sunshine Coast - we headed north west from Aspley and came through the hinterland (out Woodford-Maleny way) to Lake Baroon... this year we aren't going as far north, and as far as I'm aware, we're still heading north west from Aspley (not via Bruce Hwy), so I'm not quite sure where in Caloundra we are going to pass you...
-
Should be there again Erin (it'll be my first cruise since Byron - damn fuel prices!!)... will be heading down from the Sunny Coast if anyone cares...
-
I haven't added my 2c on the look of the new Skyline yet, so here it is: hate that front that all cars seem to be getting these days (with the rounded wrap around headlights) - there is nothing about that car that looks imposing or aggressive... the arse is passable, but looks-wise overall it is certainly a major step down... give me a 34 anyday!
-
Happy Birthday Cyrus... have a good one!

I saw your car on Nicklin Way near Kawana shops on the weekend (Sunday me thinks) at around 6pm-ish... I tooted as I came up along side you, but I took a left straight after... your car looked quite good.
