  7. Hi all Turbo is an XTR GT2530. Built by GCG turbos in sydney. Basically it is an r34 gtt turbo with a gt2530 core. to suit rb20 or rb25 on stock manifold It was recently built before i bought it. I never got around to using it. Bloke before me was making over 200kw at wheels with it on an rb20 it is in excellent condition and has little to no shaft play. Comes with a brand new HKS adjustable actuator, earls braided oil line and fittings and all other lines. New turbo to manifold gasket. also elbow off compressor housing. I want $1000 for it i have photos ready to go but are too big for this site, so if your interested pm me or reply here im on the NSW north coast but will post anywhere cheers Tim

  13. rb20Z got a few pics with the rb20 in it. Its in pieces at the moment copping a rebuild, new paint in the engine bay and some other goodies.
  14. hi Shaun so did you run that turbo on the rb20 too did you mate?
  15. why not although i think it would be a waste of money unless you can get a 26 dirt cheap. The beauty of 30DE's are head and block can be bought for cheap. I guess when you start spending huge amounts on an N/A motor you have to really decide wether all that money can be justified, as more power is available with forced induction generally for cheaper. Its a hard one, is there any place in the modified scene for the N/A six anymore?!
  16. Although i havnt finished with my rb20det 280zx im already thinking about the next project. Im seriously thinking about putting a built N/A rb30/25 into a 240z. I was reading a zoom article a while back about building an n/a rb30/25. according to them they achieved a 32% power increase from just the head swap. that would equate to roughly 150kw at the fly from a stock 114kw rb30. Thats in the same region as a standard rb30et without any work just standrad 25 head on 30 block. not too shabby. Then think about upping compression, full engine balance, porting, cams, management etc.... I dont think 180rwkw is out of the question. id love a balanced NA six pot capable of 12 or 13 second passes. Take a look at this 240z vid. 3.1L stroker with triple carbs making 320hp. http://www.bbgraphics1.com/73z/strokervideo.mpeg
  17. ive got an rb20det 280zx, not a true zed but close enough
  18. mines off the road for a motor rebuild and some other work. Was meant to be on the road by now, but the run around engine i bought turned out to have water damaged bores. moral of that story is cheap engines are often cheap for a reason.
  19. "Hmm I'm still waiting to install mine (my car is off the road) I hope this doesn't happen to me." same here
