  1. Hey guys, I am trying to find the same parts at the moment. Have been searching all over RHDJapan's site and have come up empty handed. If either of you happen to find them on their website, could you link them here so I can grab them too? In the mean time, I'll keep searching and will link to them if I find them. Cheers.
  2. Danny to P5, out-quallied Vettel again.... Woo-Hoo!
  3. Spotted a gunmetal R32 on Macquarie Pass today heading towards Robertson, and a silver/grey 31 in Albion Park at the bottom of the pass.
  4. Great drive by Dan - So impressed with him!
  5. Spotted NUR 1 at Moorebank this morning. Such a good looking car!
  6. I traced the wire the entire way through the loom, lol.. .Definitely the same wire going right the way through from one unit to the other. Yeah I haven't been able to find any instruction manuals or even any acknowledgement from HDI that this model exists lol. I'll have a look through those threads you linked, see how I go. Thanks for the help.
  7. Ok, so still has the factory boost controller then. But the plug that was disconnected runs into a small loom that crosses over to the other side of the engine bay and into the other solenoid pictured... Gah, so confusing!
  8. Spotted a nice Gunmetal 32 at Macarthur Square shopping center earlier tonight. "93VSPC" or similar plates. Great looking car.

  11. G'day, I had some work done on my 32 GTR this week, and while picking it up, the mechanic pointed out that there was an issue with my boost controller, telling me that it was continually clicking on and off while the car was running. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing with this car, it's completely different to the cars I am used to owning and working on, so I'm new to all this turbo/boost/ecu jazz, so I had to have a bit of a hunt around the engine bay to find out what he was talking about So, I find this little solenoid / relay type doober down near my air filters - It has "Hybrid Development International" written on it, and also says "Model: HYB-MAC-SOL". This has two air lines coming to a T-piece, and into the unit, and then an airline heading back out. It also has a power line, which runs all the way from it, across the top radiator support, behind the battery, to a PCM Valve. **However** The line from the solenoid wasn't actually plugged into the PCM - just hanging loosely. So I turned the car on, and sure enough, the solenoid starts clicking it's head off, sounds like it's a relay shorting out or similar. So am I to assume that this small solenoid is the boost controller? I flick the car off, plug the wire into the PCM, and turn the car back on - Still clicking it's head off - No change at all. Any ideas? Should this unit be coming on and staying on? Or is the clicking normal? The car has a Haltech Platinum Pro plug in ECU, which I thought might have had a boost controller with it? Or failing that, I thought that this hybrid-power solenoid unit might trace back to another controller that can be adjusted etc, but I can't seem to locate anything. In saying that, I have no basis to believe that would be the case, it's just what I had in my head for some reason. Has anyone got any idea what the story would be? Should the Haltech be doing the job for both? Maybe an old unit that's still hooked up?
  12. Thanks so much, LOACH! I appreciate the help.
  13. G'day Troops, While removing my front seats from my GTR today, I saw a small slip of paper sticking out from underneath the floor carpet. Thinking it was maybe a build sheet or similar, I carefully dragged it out from a small slit where the seatbelt wiring comes from. Turns out, it's not a build sheet, lol, but maybe a receipt or similar? A friend of mine who speaks Chinese says it looks like it might be a motorway toll receipt or pass of some kind. Can anyone shed any light on what it says? Does it have a location on it anywhere? Also, is the 5.2.27 in the circle the date? (27th Feb 2005?) Any info or help would be great... one more piece in the "Pre-import" puzzle.
  14. Heat + Breaker-bar that sonova...
  15. This is exactly me... I could come dead last on the time sheet, and be outdone by just about anyone in anything, and still have a stupid grin from ear to ear. In some of the events I have entered, I have been competitive, and in others, woeful, but I enjoy it all the same. The work I have had done on the GTR is on par price-wise with the work I have had done on previously owned cars. As you said, it just comes down to what you want to do I guess.
  16. Lol, nice... We have obviously had very different experiences.
  17. I bought a 32 GTR for this exact purpose about 12 months ago and have been having a blast in it. I have taken it to the drags, entered it in motorkhana events, and taken it around circuits on track days and it has been able to handle everything with ease. Then on the weekends or days I'm off work, the wife and I have toured the countryside in it, sometimes 5 and 6 hour stints driving at a time and it has been a pleasure the whole time. In my experience (others may disagree), if there is a part on the car you need fixed/replaced/repaired, it can be quite expensive to get the original bits, but if you're upgrading those bits with aftermarket toys, then it is no more expensive than any other car you modify. The 32's are getting quite old now, so bushes, steering/suspension etc are all starting to get well worn, so they are pretty much a definite expense if you're going to take it to the track etc, but like I said, you'd probably do the same for any other car you want to mod as well. Good luck with it
  18. The GT Academy is driving me insane... I log in, do a few laps and crack into the 20,000's in ranking. I log in an hour or so later, and BAM, back into the 30,000s lol. The car is so frustrating! I watch the replay of the number 1 rank, and just can't work out where he picks up the extra second. That's a long-ass time in race track land!
  19. Spotted red R32 GTR "89 GTR" plates going past Austinmer Beach about 12:45 just now.
  20. Spotted a group of 6 or 7 cars cruising tonight, mix of nice Skylines and Commodores, between Campbelltown and Picton on the freeway. About midnight or thereabouts.
  21. A bit of a late report, but I spotted "SIRGTR" (I think from memory??) Black R32 GTR on Cowpasture Road on Friday last week (14th March), I was in my Grey R32 GTR. It was nice to cruise along in traffic with another driver who didn't act like a muppet. Lately whenever I have spotted a skyline in traffic, they give it the berries and look like a ratbag. Kudos to Mr SIRGTR (?) for showing the other cars around us that we're not all twits. :-)
  22. My annual leave starts at the end of this week - 3 weeks with nothing planned. I'm sure some GT6 will be on the agenda!
