  8. congrats to those who have placed an order with nissan for the limited numbers that are coming here. i always have a rule of thumb when buying or budgeting for a vehicle; income per annum= total price of the car eg: if you earn 50000 pa, max car price should be no more than that P.S. funky munky, did you go to Epping boys? meant to asked you years ago but didnt.

  11. a few years back, we had an old pulsar and were dying to QUICKLY do it up and cruise in it. we got body kit fitted (ourselves) still in primer, the muffler had a hole so we kicked it out and taped a Milo tin to the rear bar. Thinking that the chrome milo tin looked too cleanish we taped some gaffer tape on the inside to make it look real. to top it off we had a dishwashing sponge taped straight onto the throttle body as an airfilter (it actually sounded alrite!!) whole project took a few hours and we got to cruise around that night, laughing all the way to the city of our dodge job
  12. have a full kit Trust Greddy FMIC for sale completed with Apexi twin chamber BOV attached. pm me if interested
  13. you already have Pioneer splits, why not go Pioneer for the rear too, they make some of the best speakers around.
  14. if you are going to use it at home then buy a sub-amp for home (240V) this will eliminate the 12-13.8VDC power supply. only buy sub-amp as it would have a built in low pass filter. do not buy a home theatre or a standard stereo amp as it will be a waste of time. the line level coming from your PC will be in the form of 3.5mm stereo socket (earphone type) is perfectly fine at 1 Vp-p (standard). just buy a converter lead to go to 2 RCAs and you will be fine.
  15. boost controller and catch can express posted today to the two fastastic buyers.
  16. alternator whine? please explain? : D
  17. amps get too hot? maybe they are running too hot? depending on your volume requirements go for the largest amp you can afford. for those who cranks them for a long period of time get the amp that double the power output of what you are happy with. so you have more headroom and your amp will run a lot cooler. i wouldnt recommend putting your amp together with the battery behind the cover as they will just heat up together (battery gets hot when they are being charged). the more room around your amp the better. hope this help
  18. for the beeping sound look for a buzzer and you can just disconnect the connector loom to stop it, from memory its on the right hand side near the steering column under the dash. for the 4 speakers, if your deck is powerful enough (most arent) and if around 7 watts RMS will satisfy you then run them of the deck. but otherwise get your self a decent small 4CH amp and reward yourself with a powerful all round system thats not just heavy in bass.
  19. hi, when you get hums or whine noises that you hear from car audio systems, it is caused by electrical interference. most good head unit should not emits any of this audible noise. by saying that, your car's electrical system can also be the problem, old components may create a fault or picked up some sort of interference and this is put straight back through the car's power lines powering your head unit. Old and tired batteries can cause this problem also. a good car audio installer will use your factory wiring looms, why? because these cables are dedicated for your sound system and hence your head unit is not crossed wired to anything eles. also solder all contacts and heatshrink/taped all bare wires as it can easily pick up interference from current running through other wires. noise suppressor can sometimes help and you can get them from Jaycar
