  2. does any one no how much psi the standard oil feed runs at also could it be pumping to much oil into that an forcing oil out the rear seal will drilling a bigger hole in the standard line oil feed line an bolt help or hinder it... is it possible to have a damaged rear seal but still have no shaft play
  3. it's hard to say at how much oil comes out it still has the standard rb25 banjo bolt setup so wot ever Thayer pump up
  4. hears a pic of the oil return... I pulled of the dump pipe an has oil in it... the turbo has zero play back an fourth an it would have less than half a mm side to side turbo still appears to be in excellent shape
  5. every were I read just recommended using a larger return just due to the size of the turbo
  6. that's wot I made up aswell a solid 19mm steal tube an a 90 degree bend using a rubber hose at the block
  7. thanks for the help guys I really appreciate it I'm hoping the turbo hasn't been damaged I've only ran it for about a hour an about 50min of that was it sitting there idling but after that I pulled of the intercooler an air intake an there was no sign of an oil in it is it possible for the turbo to have a blown seal an only be leaking out the dump pipe... will upload a pic or the oil return tomorrow an see wot use think
  8. yea from wot I've red up using the holsets u tend to need to use much larger oil return lines... wot rubber line do u use as a oil return
  9. I will get a new oil feed line tomorrow but could it be that the oil return line is to small from wot I've red up these turbos do need a pretty large oil return line... is there anyone else that has dun one of these turbo conversations lately
  10. first off as for the smoke at idle its minimal to none that I give it a hit it blows a lot for about 2 seconds than dies down to almost nothing again I unscrewed the o2 sensor an it did have a little oil on it.... as for the next question I believe it's a journal bearing an I was goin to buy another oil feed line tomorrow an see if that helps it at all
  11. hi I just finished my installation of my holset hx35w on my rb25neo.running it top mount an externally gated just finished if off today an I have a problem it starting to blowing smoke I had the turbo checked over before it was installed it had next to no bearing play front an rear wheels were in excellent condition no scratching or chips we had the turbo apart an it had no signs wot so ever that it had oil being blown out of it now since I ran the car for about a hour an an pulled of my air intake an intercooler pipping an wipped it with a paper towel an there was no signs of oil residue any were I can't work out why it's blowing smoke wan it was installed I made up new 19mm oil return lines but as for the oil feed I'm still using the original solid rb25 oil feed line any help would be appreciated cheers
  12. hi I got a complete emanage blue to suit a r33 has a brand new wiring loom adaptor to suit a s1 an s2 rb25 manual tuning program more wiring to suit an a sensor ecu is used an all wiring is brand new bought it for my vl with a rb25 in it only selling as I need a ewe external gate to get the care running chasing $250 for the lot or will it for a good tial or turbosmart wastegate 38mm or 44mm with a 2 bolt flange located in Sydney text for pics 0422675546

  16. hi I got a rb25 neo op6 turbo came off my rb25 neo a vl blew no smoke wot so ever there was no blow threw oil in the dump pipe intercooler pipping or air intake an made no noises but it's front turbine has some chips due to running it with no air filter for the last few months an it loo0422675546422675546s like it had a smal0422675546 rock go threw it it only has a very very small amount of play an has no damage to the front housing an still spooled up fine still has plenty of life left in it.. $200 ono next I have a rb25 neo standard turbo manifold an heat sheild...$40 rb25 series 1-2 inlet manifold top an bottom half... $40 rb25 series 2 afm... $70 also have a vl group a front bar vl aero rear bar an vl Calaisone piece fibreglass light cover no blinker cover they are all in need repairs... $150 for the lot pickup Sydney nsw also I'm after a set of good dis 001 splitfires so can work out a deal or swap for a set I'm also after a tial or turbo smart 44mm 2 bolt wastegate with screamer pipe so if u have ever of these items let me no an we can work out a deal message me for pics as I'm having trouble uploading so text me an I will send pics cheers 0422675546
  17. hi I ran it for about a week with the spark gapped at 0.8 than a week a 0.7 an there was no noticeable differances between the 2 an spark plugs them self are only two weeks old an are nkgr dont remember all the part number on them but they end in -7... does any one in Sydney have a cheaper set of rb25 series 1 coils for sale let me no cheers

  19. compression test was also dun it came as 1-170 2-160 3-165 4-175 5-160 6-165 test was dun cold an try with all spark plugs removed
  20. hi I have a vl with a rb25det running standered ecu turbo injectors it has yellow jacket coils 3 inch exhaust gutted cat a micks metal craft forward facing plenum self raising for brand new intercooler an pipping runs at 11 pound using a boost tap... now the problem I'm having is once it has warmed up its sluggish an looses power here's a list of wot I have already changed... fuel pump Bosch 040 -7 spark plugs gapped at 0.7 has no boost leaks wot so ever brand new Nissan tps new afm tried another ecu also I did have a coil arking on the engine not the plug but I wrapped it in electricall tape and is working fine now an is running on all cylinders I really just need advice on wot it could be possibly knock sencors? ? I'm lost for idears it runs fine till it hits it's normal running temp an still drives normal but wan I wanna get into it it will hesitate than go but wan it gets to about 5500-6000 it's just shutters an losses power it does it threw all gears but wan driving normal it's not very noticeable I've owned the car for over a year now an this problem has only started happening in the last month at first it was barly noticeable but now it can't be driven hard at all any help will be appreciated
