[rant on] I spent my life growing up on a farm in a small town called Narbethong. Most cruisers have been through Narbethong as it’s on the other end of a fantastic twisty piece of road known as the Black Spur. As you can imagine I have driven through the Black Spur thousands of times and still to this day I enjoy it as much as the first time. I have a place in my heart for the residents of Narbethong having known them for most of my life. It pained me today when the local shop owner rang me to ask what to do as he was at his wits end. His driveway and lawn had been ripped up for the third time since November and him and his wife were threatened on the last occasion. I am talking about organized cruisers! On the weekend these lowlifes had blocked the city entrance to the black spur and ran time trials from 2am onwards in modified Japanese and muscle cars. Now apart from being highly illegal and stupid these idiots had the brains to upset the locals and in the process drawing even more attention they knocked of the fire hazard sign and were noted as drink driving. The repercussions of last weekend will affect us all. The accomplishments of this group have pissed the police off so much they have reacted with immediacy unprecedented in my eyes. The Black spur is now being included in two patrolled night runs from the local police of Healsville and Alexandra as an immediate precaution. Officers have been worded up to go to town on suspected drag racers, and the locals have all been advised to take rego numbers of cars seen cruising in suspicious groups through the area. Fortunately for us the idiots that were causing the problems last weekend have had their rego plates taken and they will be contacted. The icing on the cake was the fire hazard sign, believe it or not. It’s one of the types that warn locals of how extreme the danger was each day. Apparently these signs cost around $500 and will not be replaced for some time because the small town of Narbethong doesn’t have the immediate funds available. Just Sad. Now I don’t have a problem with cruises normally but these idiots will fast destroy our already shrinking freedom on the roads. That really pisses me off, especially when some of the larger groups work so hard to try and remove the hoon association with all of us in our performance cars and it is all undone in one night of utter stupidity! No wonder police act on the verge of oppressive most of the time, it’s because of dickheads like this. [/rant off] FINER9

Had some good clean fun yesterday! I didn't run the quater, but it was good to catch up with Dave, and the boys from ICE. They put in some impressive runs, however i think Dave (leewah) was looking for more. Came in the 555 WRX, which performed well. Clutch was still good for the drive home which as everyone knows is the week point in WRX's Just a shame we couldn't work the Boost out, there was a flat 13 waiting on the day we just couldn't reach. Weather gave me the shits! plus everytime we got a break the V8's would start up, have a few runs, then drop oil all over the track. more time wasted. Next time I will definatly have my car ready so put me on the list now. FINER9

In Victoria speedo's are only allowed to be 10% pessimistic and 0% optimistic. So if your doing 100 and your speedo says your doing 90 then it’s ok. However, If you are doing 101 and your speado says your doing 100 then it is considered un-roadworthy. You don’t have an excuse for speeding because your speedo was out. In saying that I would still vote liberals and the 10% rule in. Aaron

Leewah, I know you and comments are definatly not directed at you, nor anyone here really. But, I think even you have commented on some nutball R33 drivers who'ill smoke there car up VL style any chance they get. Pointless. Unfortunatly the reserved skyline driver is becomming a mith with so many cheap import skylines available to new inexperianced drivers ruining it for you.

This argument has nothing to do with cars it is one drivers skill behind the wheel against another. With the popularity of Skylines growing as they have. I must say that the are a massive (growing) amount of shocking skyline drivers who think the car will make them an awsome driver. Much like what you claim BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, Subaru drivers do. I have watched Stock VW VR6's and SSS's power away from GTST owners fumbeling at the wheel like a 15yo at a bra. I believe that even a Skyline driver can be humbeled at the wheel by better drivers in slower cars. I saw proof of this only a few weeks ago. Mazda MX5's destroing Skylines, WRX's, M3's times for the motokana at DECA sure the conditions are better suited to the MX5, but stock for stock the MX5 was a better car against all on the day. What is it with Skylines? It's the drivers. You prove it yourselves talking about these mad nuts in thier R33's who will drag a seagul at the drop of a hat. Don't get me wrong, the Skyline especially a GTR is an all powerful automotive icon, but you have to admint that the reason why everyone wants a go is becasue the majority of owners are up for it. My respect goes to the drivers who don't need to prove them selves by verbally shitting on every other car they don't currently own.

Bov's vent back to the intake. Wastagetes vent back to the exhaust. Both are illegal if they vent to air. BOV's if they vent completly to air in most cases make the car run extremely rich and cause higher emmissions and back firing, thats the part they don't like. BOV's and wastagtes including vent back ones are not allowed to exceed the standard DB levels, but i don't know how they measure that. (how far or angles) Personally I think the BOV noise is crap, sounds heaps better venting back if you have a big rampod intake (Note there illegal too) If you don't care and want the best wank value noise get an external wastgate and vent that externally via a screemer pipe.

Hi all. I am new to the Skylines Forum... I saw the ART area and was board so I thought I would knock something up as Photoshop is a bit of a hobbie for me. I can have a go at some more but i can't find high quality pics of cars to play with... Anyway, this is the same GTR in the Banner at the top. I hope the owner doesn't mind me using the pic.
