  5. well today it all began, the motor has come out and the engine bay stripped. Ill get some pics once my camera is up and running. Ive marked all the wiring that is going to be stripped out. im looking forward to getting stuck into it during the week. As for the airlocker mate, the main disadvantage to the airlocker is that you do need to remove the LSD and install the airlocker as its a complete centre and will then make it a single spinner when not engaged. The Air-locker does need a compressor to activate it, The compressor i am going to put in there weighs just on 1kg and is a 62ltr per min compressor. Which means it can also do tyre inflation when at a track to play with pressures. As this car is going to get driven also on the street the last thing i wanted was a 2 way as i wanted it to drive nicely and not so agressive when around town. Heres a link to website for more info if your interested. http://www.arb.com.au/products/arb-air-lockers-accessories/ The rear diff in a skyline is the same as a front diff in a D22 Navara V6 current model
  6. no one will do it, ultimately if the vehicle is in another accident and its reported that it didnt go off the company or individual who did the patch job is held liable. Wether or not you say its for you and you never take passengers.

  8. Hey, how much for a full set front and rear to suit an R32 GST Type M with freight to vic 3136 cheers
  9. You will get a better braking feel as the rubber wont be expanding under pressure. This also will ensure more effective braking.
  10. Hey Guys, I have been a member of SAU for quite a while and had many imports. All on the S chassis and one Cima. Now I have just purchased this which so far has been by far the best buy. It cost me $3000 and i organised a legitamate road worthy which it passed first time with no defects. So all up and into my name it has cost me approx $3300. I bought the car and it had: Advantek 18" rims brand new yokohama tyres all round HKS 3" exhaust Drift Pod filter. within about a week i have already purchase a set of JIC coilovers, and removed the HKS exhaust and made my own new rear section as the HKS one was very quiet and I really wanted to bring out that RB note, Also the HKS rear box was very heavy and as i want this to be a track car predominantly this was the main reason. So here a picture of the exhaust i made. Which was actually made out of 3 S15 3" front pipes which i cut, welded, cleaned and painted. I've also removed the HICAS which I will post up photo's later. So far this is all i have done but this weekend i will be removing the front end and removing all the A/C and I will also start to remove all sound dedening etc. The main focus of this car will be drift and track days. I will soon be installing a Diff which is a little bit different to most. As i work for ARB i will be installing an Air-locker in the rear. as this will be excellent for drift whilst also making it daily driveable. I also have them in my landcruiser and love them. I will keep you all upto date with the progress. Cheers ben
  11. i got a wheel alignment done today, and the shake is still there ay 80km/h now but i can accelarate through it and now it doesnt do it under brakes. I think im going to change the tie rod ends anyway as they are quite old, so ill see what happens when i do this. I checked the steering arms and these are all straight and the wheels all turn freely. Also i just chucked in a Hicas lock bar which instantly made it better even without the alignment. So next im going to get the wheels balanced.
  12. scrap this whole thing i just had a crack at blocking it off at the back... if ya see a black 32 with no steering its just me laugh and drive away.
  13. are you able to chuck the rad shroud and clutch fan back on? with that alloy rad. If so i would give this a shot, seen this happen alot and its amazing how much of a difference the shroud and clutch fan actually do make.
  14. hey, i just bought an R32 GTST type-M with Hicas. The vehicle drives and handles quite well untill you hit approx 80km/h then it developes a really bad shaking through the steering wheel. Sometimes it is fine untill i hit a bump and then it starts. Also when you are braking you can feel it through the pedal. I have been underneath the car and had a look to see if any of the bushes have any obvious wear out of them, but all appears fine. I know the shocks were shagged so i have changed them and put coilovers in and it still happens. I have rotated rims front to back. Still happens. Im thinking the tie rod ends may be knackered? But any input would be greatly appreciated. cheers Ben
  15. Hey All, I have just found out that my shocks on my 32 are all crapped out and i dont really want to be replacing them with stockies again. Im chasing some R32 GTST coilovers Height adjustable and i have a budget of $800. If anyone knows of anything please let me know. Cheers ben
