  1. Most likley they will charge per hour.. Around 75 bucks an hour by most mechanics.. Maybe worthwhile if you bring your car into the shop and let them check it out and rip it apart.. Let them find the problem first, and then go from there.. Could be just a simple fix..
  2. Edit: This will help!! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=45833
  3. heres mine.. Havnt been defected yet.. (touch wood)
  4. I have project Mus on the front, and on a cold day (first start up for the car) while reversing they squeel for a bit.. A little loud if i brake hard.. but this only happens while reversing on a cold day.. im just assumming the pads are more suited for the heat.. So this could just apply for you also.. However i did use nulon brake cleaner and it has worked a little.. But you can still hear little squeels.. Not as bad as before tho. So give that a try.. Only 12 bucks for the bottle i think..
  5. What price are you gettin these Buddy clubs coilovers at?? Arent they in the 2.8k region?? or you buying 2nd hand ones??
  6. Hay champ.. Could you please send me some pics of the aircon hose.. The one from the firewall to the compressor.. As long as that hose doesnt have a hole or anything in it.. i could be keen.. Should be the one with heatwrap around it?? But please do send me some pics Cheers
  7. yea s15s are known for that problem.. Asked a few more people yesterday and the tappet noise is normal for RBs..
  8. I suggest you clean your AFM.. Use nulon brake cleaner.. it does the job well!! AS it doesnt leave any substance behind..
  9. Yup no need for any screw drivers at all. . use your fingers and push it forward (i think) and then just pull it out.. its really simple.. If it doesnt seem like its coming out, then you doing it wrong.. But i did this ages ago..
  10. What rear bar is that.. Not a fan of it at all..
  11. ^^ hahahha.. expensive option tho!!
  12. I heard hearing this noise is a good thing.. Means your car is running fine., But thats what i have heard.. SR20s have common issues with lifters.. Just go to your mechanic and see what he says..
  13. Ok so i took your advice and bought some Polyglaze Diamond Finish Polish.. N im AMAZED!! its actually worked!! Still a little bit of fade.. But i reckon one more coat of it in a weeks time and it will be spot less from any yellow tinge!! For 10 bucks, it does wonders!! Highly recommened it.. . thanks once again for lettin me know!! I have used tootpaste before.. didnt work lol.. then i just gave up since then until this thread appeared!!
  14. 5 grand?? Power Fc-Brand new - 1.2k-1.5k.. They have stopped making the power fcs, so its gonna be so hard to find one!! OR, if you have the dosh asap.. Email [email protected] for a power fc!! N i mean ASAP!! Tuning ahould be about 600-650 max..
  15. Turbo back exhaust, FMIC, pod, more boost should see you around 180kw range.. With a fair few flat spots, and your car running rich. So in this case, you have a few options.. One is to tune your car properly with an aftermarket engine management, such as Apexi Power FC... With that all tuned up, you should hit above 200kw.. Dont forget to purchase a new fuel pump also.. Depending on where you live, check your state thread for details on workshops etc etc.. Heres a few sites that might help you!! http://nissanskyline.6te.net/ Ok i only found one. .There was a site which had details about what each mod does and how you should go about doin it. Cant find the link anymore.. hmmm Anyways use the search button here and you will find thousands of threads!! Gdluck..
  16. PM replied.. cheers mate
  17. Willing to swap for a brand new power fc lol..
  18. whats this thermo foam stuff?
  19. With that eo1, apparently theres a low mode and a high mode. . maybe the low mode is set to a certain limit?? Anyways a friend of mine had a similar problem.. Wont go past 14psi even on high mode.. Btw you running your car with a untunes power fc?? As in, is the power fc plugged in?? OR you just have stock ecu??
  20. But i cant afford a power fc esp at 800 for say 2nd hand one, plus another 600 or so for a tune.. Way to much for me at this stage!! If the safc can fix 90% of the flat spots i will be damn happy!! I will give him a call and see what he reckons!! Cheers
  21. You want EBC-- those profec spec B's are 390 to your door step!! look in trader section!! Otherwise see what the tuner says!! Buy another cheap bleed value and if there any issues with your turbosmart while tuning, ask your tuner to use the new bleed value and see if that works.. If its still spiking, get a ebc.. But see what your tuner says first..
  22. sorry to bump the thread again. I was wondering what is HITMANS number, and where is he located?? Also another quick question.. Will a safc help me in the following: Fix up my flat spots (real bad flat spots) Improve fuel economy (seems like you have proven it has) But the most important thing i want is to be able to fix my flat spots.. I dont want more power extracted with more flat spots!! Cheers all..
  23. Is 200 reasonable for a timing belt installed by a workshop?? Read a few ppl saying 200 should be max.. What you all reckon?? cheers
  24. ^^ no you dont change anything.. Buy your pod.. LEAVE IT FOR EVER!! Lol... You will need a cold air box also!! Use one that uses stock snorkle.. Or think about which fmic you will be getting in the future.. That is will it use stock piping route (then you will need a cold air box which uses the stock snorkle) Or if the piping goes the other way then get a full inclosed cold air box, and use pvc piping from the bottom to feed in the cold air.. then get a full exhaust system, and a FMIC!!
