ok tomoz im going to vic roads to get a stock r33 gts-t registered under my name. i am 21 but still have p plate's (probationary license) i get off my p's in one month. but i need to drive the car home from vic roads. whats the story if a cop pulls me over? what can he do?

Hey all vic! i live in montrose (near ringwood/croydon) and own an R33 series 2 gts-t. i want to fit a full gtr bodykit to the car and wanna get some links/numbers/etc on suppliers/fitters/painters. can you please tell me only companies you have USED. not just send me a link of a place yourve never used. im after peoples storys of where they went/how much it cost etc. thanks heaps guys

hey all, i am buting a car that has 2 keys for it and the central locking works fine but there is no keyless entry pad. how can i go about getting one? can a nissan dealership help me out or will i be forced to put the key everytime?

Hey all ive just looked at a nice S2 R33. im considering buying it but its just been imported and hasnt been road worthied. i took these details down. Chassis Number, VIN number and Model Number. how do i chewck that the car isnt stolen/rebirthed etc? any advice much apreciated.

stupid queston. i know its prolly been asked 200,000+ times. i just bought an apexi pod filter. A022. (designed for R33 gts-t) is it illegal to run one on your car? p.s. im in vic

i just love the unique sound the car has. i hate seeing r33's with massive exhausts that sound like try hard v8's. i'd rather keep the exhaust stock, or change it for performance only and ensure it isnt too loud. i'd rather people say 'hey that skyline sounded mad!' not 'is that a hsv? ah no its a skyline trying to sound like it has a v8'. if you catch my drift. anyways can you or anyone recomend a good pod filter?

Hey all, I am buying a SII R33 GTS-T 5-spd manual in November this year and I have a question for you. I have driven a mates R30 that had an RB20DET (i think thats the write code/term) in it with a massive front mount intercooler and a pod filter. This thing sounds F*%KIN NUTZ! At low revs you can't hear anything, if your in neutral and you rev it you dont hear anything out of the ordinary, just a engine reving, but when you begin to move as the revs get higher it sounds like a jet taking off. sounds dumb i know but its the best way for me to explain it. It's like air is being sucked into it. when you release the accelerator it makes a whoosh kinda like a blow off valve but better. BOV's have always sounded a little tacky to me. This car dosnt have an aftermarket bov/wastegate on it. My friend recons its the pod filter that gives it the induction/air suckin sound. But im a lil hesitant towards that because i know plenty of n/a tuned cars with pod filters on them and they don't sound like this. Can anyone suggest what i do to my stock R33 to get it to sound like this? cheers.

Hey all, i apoligize if a thread similar to this has already been created if it has then please just link it too me and delete this one. i made a thread yesterday http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=130515&hl= although it wasnt about the s1/s2 differences, in it i asked to be linked but no one could help. so any way here is my story, i love skylines, since a friend took me for a ride in an R33 ive been saving for one. that was over a year and a half ago. i have saved up hard and long. and am getting the car in November. I am set on getting a series 2 for the only reaosns -they are newer than s1 -bugs/flaws will be worked out -they have a nicer bonnet and front -there is less k's on them as they havnt been around forever like the series 1. of course you could find some immaculate series 1 with very low k's and a series 2 that is driven everyday and has some serious k's but im talking in a sense of average. the average s2 will have less k's than a s1. anyway i have heard there is a different turbo on the s2. is this true? if anyone could please note as many differences from the Series 1 and Series 2 R33's i will be most greatful. Hey all, im looking at buying an R33 series 2 real soon. like within 3 months. ive been saving for this car for over a year now. i was driving to work the other day and i saw what im pretty sure was a 97/98 model r33. why you ask? because the tail lights were like LEDS. not the standard globes i was used to seeing in all skylines. i know its a series 2 because of the spoiler/wing and front but ive seen 96 model r33 with the standard lights in them. do these 'LED' lights come stock in some r33's? or are they an aftermarket product? p.s. they looked terrible. also does anyone know of any threads of the differences between series 1 and 2 r33's? thanks guys

well ive rang around and the best quotes ive had for full comp insurance for a 1996 series 2, GTS-T, 5 spd man. no mods insured for 14k is $1,480 from justcar. and $1,900 for shannons. my r31 on the other hand, GIO offer me 3rd party fire and theft for $460 and RACV offering $530. so im going with gio for the r31, have to wait till nov when i get my skyline before i insure.

Hey all, I am 20, turning 21 in July. Living in Montrose, Victoria (a safe area, not many cars get stolen etc). Off my P's in November and are planning to buy a 1996-1998, Series 2, R33 GTS-T, 5 spd manual in November when im off my P's. My driving record is flawless, not a single fine/conviction. I thought that being off my P's will make things easier for me insurance wise if im going to be driving a turbo. I currently drive a 1989, series 3, 5 spd man, R31 Skyline. I am going to to keep the R31 for running around/work and drive the R33 on weekends. GIO is my current insurer and they are asking me to pay $460 for renewal third party fire and theft insurance and rating me as a Rating 5 driver. I am pretty sure that GIO won't insure me on the R33 but I have a couple of places to ring to get a quote. All I am asking is does anyone have any insurers they can recommend to me or steer me clear of? I am hoping to insure both cars with one insurer and save some $$$ because of it. At the moment just car and famous insurance seem like a good idea. comments/suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance for your help.
