  1. The quality on mine was fantastic - never had a problem with it. Interior trim is much nicer than the Stagea in my opinion. Will find some pics of mine. You're right about the motor - it's a big brother to the FTO V6, the GTO V6 is a different motor all together. In the UK, basic mods and higher boost have seen them pull high 12 sec quarters without too much hassle, but after that you need to get bigger turbos.
  2. ...and you can imagine how many HSV owners went "WTF??? I just got torched by a Magna!" back when I had my Galant lol When you put them along side a Magna, they are quite different.
  3. That bloke with the Legnum better hope he sells soon - they'll be coming in for half that price. Caldina has already been approved for import too.
  4. lol - look at them all jump in to defend! I used to own an EC5A Galant VR-4, as far as I know the only on in Oz. Now resides in Sydney. Mine was manual with Active Yaw Control, which is a very rare combo, even in Japan. I brought mine back with me from Japan. They're 2.5V6 twin turbo, 206kW. I think you could probably dust an RS-Four in one, but not a chance against a 260RS - with the factory exhaust, the small turbos on the Legnum mean it runs out of puff at the top end, although the engine is a really free revver. Parts were a real pain, I got mine from Mitsubishi NZ with only a 2-3 day wait if it was urgent. Guys at Auckland Mistubishi were legends. Not many people mod them, which makes power up stuff hard to come by. I love Stageas, but for similar money, I'd probably take a Legnum (although I'll reserve my judgment till next week, ok [ STAGEN ]??). Interior is really nicely done - all quality materials inside.
  5. Just giving you a heads up I've just finished my application for the Legnum VR-4 (EC5W) and their Galant sedan counterparts to be approved for import under the SEVS regulations. Should have an answer in a month or so. They're coming to get ya'!

    Rwd Stagea

I doubt it would be N/A, as they're not eligible under SEVS - I guess it could be a personal import or something though. I can import you a RWD one if you're interested.

    Rwd Stagea

Why not just buy a RWD Stagea?? They can be complied.
  8. Stasis, I brought in [ STAGEN ] 's Stagea for him a few months back now, so speak to him - I think he's still happy with my service! A pic of his car are here... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=108320 As someone mentioned, Nismo Stageas are hideously rare, and you'd most certainly never see one come up at auction. The Autech 260RS is a different kettle of fish - they are awesome cars and you normally see one or two pop up at auction every week. I used to live and work as a buyer at auctions in Japan and now just import for a hobby. I only charge $300 broker's fee, apart from that it's whatever it costs to buy it in Japan and bring it here, and I do all the legwork for you, right up until registration.
  9. Not at all - just goes on the boat. I always use EMS.
  10. <--- Mine arrives April 24, I've imported a white 2000 model NA 4 door for a guy here in Adelaide (currently in compliance) and last night bought a 2001 Bayside Blue 2 door with sunroof (rare as rocking horse sh*t) for another customer in Adelaide (at auction). <--- Those rims will be swapped for Gold 18" BBS LMs.
  11. Add N15 Pulsar SSS to your list. They had the same wheel too (in the S2s at least).
  12. Thanks Iceduck - will be in touch soon. Yeah I will be getting new tyres for it anyway. Just need them for the inspection (it's a test car) then to go through Regency. I've got AVS 17s you can borrow while I can borrow yours if you need them. (See avatar pic)
  13. GT-X came out in both turbo and non-turbo forms. All you need is here... http://www.motortraders.net/imports/select...n&model=Skyline
  14. If it makes you feel better, Mitsui is the one carrier I've never lost anything on. A couple of others I'm never using again.
  15. That's nice... PM me if you want to import your own.
  16. Cheers Scrub - will be in touch when my car lands. I owe you a six pack
  17. Hi guys - I've got my R34 on the way and need to take it back to stock for compliance. Needs some stock rims for R34 GT-t 2 door, and a factory exhaust for the same. Cheers Kristian
  18. Hope they don't tell my customer with his NA r34 sedan which is currently getting complied then Not sure on the AWD models - but if it's not specifically listed on the RAWS website as being ineligible, then you can assume it's eligible. Either way, you might want to seek clarification from DoTaRS. Just double checked - the AWD variants are listed in the original application, so yes they are eligible.
  19. It was the same under the old system too. Cars after 6/92 were eligible, so godzl you'll find your build date is after June. They weren't eligible between 6/91 and 6/92 when the GT-R was officially sold here.
  20. Exactly what I told him - I've put Low S13 in contact with a guy who can de-gas aircons in the bond area in Adelaide, and yet the importer is still stuffing around. I suspect there's something else going on, like a stuff up on the import approval or something, but we shall see. BTW - I read Jo-Anne's surname as BREATH, which is kinda sexy. Is she hot Jade? Do you have her number? lol
  21. fullo - $5K for R32 compliance?? An they're using it as a test car?? F%($! There is only one option for you at this point - go to Consumer Affairs, and through them, ask for your money back from the workshop. Also, ring Dept of Transport and Regional Services and lodge a complaint against them - they have every chance of losing their plates if this is seriously what they're doing. I suspect they have done absolutely nothing to your car, and if you go and get it back yourself, they will send you a bill for the "work" they've done. Like I said, PM me if you need more help. It's just not good enough on their behalf. Oh and start hassling your broker too - it should've been HIS responsiblity to ensure the car was complied in due time.
  22. Looks phat as - told ya the rims would look good
  23. Ok, you've got a fight on your hands. Firstly, if your car was being used as a test car, there is no way in hell they would leave the modded parts on it - the car MUST be stock for compliance and for inspection. Two years is ridiculous - before I can help you, I need to know 1) where the car is (which state at least) and 2) if you've already paid for compliance. Then we can work out a plan of attack.
  24. Queensland seems to be the worst for it - I'm now on my fourth new customs broker there... Latest one was slow getting the car off the docks - they were paid on the 15th, didn't notice the money in their account till the 20th and didn't get the car off till the 28th....all the while paying $69 A DAY in storage!! The storage bill went over $2000....
  25. According to the sheet it's April 92, which makes it ineligible. The interior is marked a a C which suggests it might be a little rough inside - don't take auction grade 4 to mean it's really clean either, it seems auction houses are dishing grade 4s out to anything these days.
