which part of the dash are you talking about do you mean the cluster or the viny of the dash or the plastic?

ok so ive been told that my bottom end is gone. heres the details: a) the car is still exactly the same as when i bought it (driveability and power wise) b) the oil pressure seems to start at 0 but as soon as i hit boost, it lifts up to 1.8 and stays there. c) the oil pressure does not drop below 1.8 unless i turn the car off. d) nothing else has changed e) there is a knocking sound when between 2000 - 3000 revs. f) when an oil pressure test was done by cypher, it read a constant 0 what do you guys think... a) should i just drive it till it dies b) is there nothing wrong with it besides the gauge c) should i buy a new engine straight away i have an exam tomoro morning so yeh kinda wana know tonite thanks, steve

just got back from cypher big end bearing knock 0 oil pressure rattling on acceleration. red light now stays on all the time. bottom end is gone.

just called cypher....apparently 1.8 is very low oil pressure, and the engine may be on its way out...... f**k. note to self: dont trust anyone selling a car.

ok, update. i just took it for another drive. when the car starts up, the oil light is on. after about 15 seconds, the oil gauge goes up to 1.8 it remains there for the rest of the drive. is 1.8 a normal level for oil pressure? PLEASE HELP I ONLY BOUGHT THIS CAR ON SATURDAY AND THE PROBLEMS ARE ENDLESS.

hey guys, just today i noticed that my oil gauge is constantly on 0-0.5 when i start the car, and the red lights on, until about 5 minutes after the cars been running, then it just shoots up to about 2 and the lights goes off.... what do you make of this? is it serious or not? also, without sounding too much like a cock, what does this gauge indicate and how can i fix the problem : my cars a 89 R32 RB20DET any help would be much appreciated thanks alot, steve

i believe you my first skyline was cursed. 7 crashes in less than six months. okay so two were my fault and i kinda deserved it. but 5 wernt. jsut depends where you are and when. also, i got rammed at 75km/h on leech hwy by a guy in a pintara. he slammed me at about 85, and then i yelled out what the f**k, and he swung to the left hand lane, scratching all the paint off my rear bumper. yes i was pissed. yes i called the cops straight away with his plates. this is what they said to me: "im sorry sir, theres not much we can do, youll just have to file a report tomorrow morning and then work it out from there" they took my number and said theyd keep me updated. i never got a call. cops dont always help. gl with getting the car fixed, and i hope that guy is raped by large burly men in jail.

only telling you what other people have told me coz i asked the same thing yesterday. youll need: manual tailshaft pedals (brake, clutch) clutch line clutch slave cylinder clutch master cylinder manual flywheel and bolts (different sized bolts) rb20 gearbox tunnel rubber boot inside plastic surround and gearboot clutch + clutch pressure plate clutch trust bearing ive heard that the auto ecu is useable but changes the gear ratios, not sure how true it is tho dont bother with a stock rb20 clutch either. thats all the info i got, big up to predator on these forums who gave me the info gl with it all, steve
