  1. Your engine will last with 270rwkw on standard internals, I know of several cars that have lasted over 6mths each after being very heavily murdered with much more than 270rwkw. It all depends on your tune
  2. What type of tyres are you after?
  3. I put the Redline in my gearbox a while back and it made a massive difference after about 750km of driving. I'm not sure how long ago that was but i'm getting crunching again so it might be due for another change.
  4. Great day Pete. I took 60mins of video on Duncan's camcorder so will be interesting to see how that turns out Dan you should be banned from tyre shops
  5. either that or you would have funny metal looking bits all over the staging area
  6. For anyone after an Exedy clutch you can call Kevin on 0296730988 who runs "SBC" (Specialised Brake & Clutch - located at St Marys, Western Sydney). He has organised group buys before (DBA Rotors etc) and is currently working on a new website displaying his products. I've found his prices to be quite nice and he also has displays at car shows, drag racing, trackdays etc. Give him a call, tell him Ben sent you or mention SAU and he'll fix you up with no BS. PS. He has asked for information on sponsoring SAU formerly but did not recieve a response from any Admins otherwise you'd see his banners splashed across SAU everyday
  7. I've got those pineapples and they did make a difference but nothing like a good set of tyres will. I leave my sub and spare tyre in the boot just for the extra squat but I still need more traction, the 225's don't help
  8. Don't forget that the subs are adding weight to the rear end which means better squat and better traction, removing them may cause you small traction problems.
  9. If the tyres have grooves they are "Non-Slicks". If the tyres are slick then they are "Slicks". Pretty self explanatory.
  10. Nice results !! I don't know how you GTR drivers can live with not getting full boost until like 4500-5000rpm. I'd be so annoyed of revving every gear out just to hit boost but then again 270kw is quite nice out of a basically stock setup What type of starting problems are you having? If you leave the ignition on for 10sec and then kick it over does that solve your problem ? How did changing to a better battery 'improve' things?
  11. no but releasing the clutch right, changing gears at the right time and everything else is the hard bit, anyone can drive in a straight line.
  12. I'm happy to pedal your car down the 1/4 whilst you are at work  I doubt it would be 11's, more like low 13's
  13. I'd be quite happy with that time RNS.
  14. It could be bandwidth, not server load. Today has been the quickest day for SAU pages loading in prolly the last 2-3wks.
  15. I've noticed over the last 2-3wks that SAU has become really slow for me to load. I experience this both at home and work (im on 512k ADSL at home and 4-10mbit at work) and get the same sorta slowness on both connections. Pings and Tracerts look fine but throughput is shocking... Other sites I use daily load nice and snappy (www.whirlpool.net.au, www.overclockers.com.au, www.news.com.au, etc etc). Has anyone else noticed this or is just me and my old age ?
  16. I didn't even realise it was on until a chick sms'd me today letting me know ... and here I was thinking I was getting lucky
  17. Pffft have you seen the Zed lately? 2 fuel pumps hanging under near the diff, carbon fibre bits n pieces all over the place, talk about a heavy tank.... :headspin: John is probably at home right now getting high on V's
  18. Bahhh humbug !! Oh well the next meeting is on 8/05.
  19. I might be up for a new clutch soon too, will know in a weeks time.
  20. I personally don't feel comfortable until i'm in 3rd gear, 1st and 2nd are over before I get a chance to blink (I cant even begin to imagine what it would be like in a 10/11sec car)
  21. So what are you saying...... my mum isn't teaching them well enuff down at Goulborn ? Lets just see how many times she loops my car at the Wakefield trackday in a few weeks
  22. He's asking about WSID not the women. Just had a quick 5min downpour here in Penrith but the road is already drying up nicely.
  23. Just had a quick 5min downpour here in Penrith, not sure if it rained at EC. If the track is dry by 3pm it could be a very quick tonight (overcast and cold).
  24. Yup I found out a few weeks back that my dual stage isn't holding boost so I might just hold off until I get a PowerFC and get the boost controller with it.
  25. The difference between brands is price ranging from about $140 to about $170.
