afaik, you won't get a refund on CTP. if it had full comp insurance, then you should get a refund on that, but i believe the CTP just gets transferred to the buyer. - Stooge007 out

if it were me, and budget was not really an issue, i'd go for a Digital Designs C4. http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/amp/C4.asp it'll provide 2x70wrms for you splits, and 1x420wrms for your sub. also, when you eventually upgrade, you can use it to power an active front stage (has bandpass feature), and purchase a separate monoblock for sub duties (e.g. DD M1) the C4 is a bit pricey at $799-RRP though. a budget option would be a Jaycar 4x100 amp, which provides 2x130wrms + 1x380wrms. only $299 too - Stooge007 out

sounds like one speaker is wired out of phase. try changing the positive and negative on ONE of the speakers only, to see if it helps. if not, one of the speakers may be FUBAR - Stooge007 out

which Alpine hu? for some of them (like my 9815) you actually have to trun the sub ON in one of the menu's. otherwise, if that doesn't fix it, check the RCA's at the head deck if they're still plugged in, try a fresh set of RCA's if that doesn't work, try plugging a different sub on the amp actually, are you sure your sub isn't dvc 2+2? if so, check how it's wired. the M500 won't like a 1 ohm load - Stooge007 out
