Hey peoples... So im at the stage where i've decided i want a full body respray on my car... I have a 1993 R33 GTSt coupe... Gunmetal Grey I had a guy come round today to check out the car and quote it. The following things are getting done... Rub back, straighten body, prime, paint obviously. Entire car will be the new ve green (including insides of doors, boot etc. bonnet gloss black (including underneath), blade and side inserts on gtr spoiler gloss black. Windows will be taken out for the job and put back in. rubbers replaced... larger fascia style rubbers will be sanded smooth and sprayed gloss black Bonnet is fibreglass, as is spoiler.. both are somewat ripply... he is sanding them right back.. using fibreglass resin to build over and make perfectly smooth. Engine bay will be completely sprayed the green to match car. (i will be removing engine) windscreen wipers will be sprayed gloss black. inside car (dash surrounds, glovebox, door inserts etc are currently white... getting sprayed gloss black.) Rocker covers on engine are getting sprayed the green to match. Brake calipers will also be sprayed (not sure wat colour) Mesh is front bar and side skirts will be replaced with new mesh Bonnet clips are starting to rust, he will be replacing with stainless ones Thats roughly everything... i think... For that i was quoted $7000. Asked to have the car for roughly a month. which isn't a big deal really as i have no licence atm... thanks to an accumulation of points for avoidable things. lesson learnt. another questions is... do i go ahead with this or sell the car and use that money plus 7 to get something better... if so wat? keeping in mind that wat ever i get will likely be bog stock. I live in the eastern suburbs... can anyone recommend someone else..? i want a good job for a good price not a cheap as one. Regards Simon

hey everyone Quick question... Is it possible to seperate the red circle lights and clear indicators from the tail light surround? If so... HOW??? i've un-done all the nuts holding the tail light surround on but unfortunately my tail lights are sika-flexed in... trying to remove them as we speak with my stanley knife.. grr... LoL good question. but unfortunately my mate is overseas atm. gets back late next week. Talking to him atm is kind of expensive, plus i dont wanna hassle him whilst he's on holidays with his family.

Hey people For those of you who know me, i have a gunmetal r33 gtst. It has a complete fibreglass bodykit including (front bar, bonnet, side skirts, rear pods and spoiler) My car is in good condition but has the general wear and tear of most street cars. numerous scratches, nicks, chips are beginning to appear. My front bar has never been sufficiently mounted so the amount of movement it goes through has caused a number of hairline cracks. I will soon be getting my car completely resprayed in a new colour (up for debate atm) But to save cost i will be doing the prep work myself. A close friend of mine is a proffesional spray painter and has agreed to help me with my project. Before the car gets sprayed he will of course be checking the prep work and giving it any final touches neccesary. My reason for this post is to gather any helpful advice i can. I am fully aware that the prep work on a car is the primary key to a high quality finish. With that in mind i am asking for advice. I have a few questions in regards to this. I am aware that sanding must be done with a block rather than by hand. I have purchased 3 cork sanding blocks, a litre of prep solve (wax and grease remover), 25 pack 120grit coarse wet/dry sanding sheets to start with. Questions: 1. A general step by step guide to prepping would be handy. lol Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I have been told that i'll hate doing this myself but i am obsesses with working on my car and cannot wait to start. Before people say it. I have searched through the forums. Read as many posts on this as possible but most of them are quite vague. So i figured i'd try and gather more knowledge by starting my own thread. Regards, Guesty

They might mate. I'm not 100% sure. haven't tried it. they state on the box "BNR34 RB26DETT 99.1-" I assume that means r34 gtr's 1999 onwards. the model number on the box is SF-DIS-005 i'm sure you could look it up and find out for sure.
