  1. Ok, I miss understood the symptoms. Just a heads up though, as my mafs were going out they had very similar symptoms although it was apparent in all the gears, not only in 3-5. Usually the car would jerk a few times then accelerate. Usually this occurred after I was stopped and seemed to be a result of heat soak? In addition to cleaning you may want to have the mafs tested and check the ground on plugs.
  2. You skipped the first part of my post. I had similar issues and it was the MAFs. Especially the shuttering at 2000-3500, it's a limp mode that in that rpm range is specific to MAF failure. Forget about your boost gauges for right now and take care of you MAF issue.
  3. It's your AFMs. Possibly a loose afm plug but most likely it needs to be replaced. Boost gauges go out of calibration, but they should be reading off the same system. What I mean is that you have two turbos but they feed into a single intake system. I assume there were two installed to read the pressure drop across the inter cooler... maybe?
  4. The fronts are listed under both because they are they same, however they are still no longer available from nissan. Regardless, even if you only want the middle and rear pieces you will only be able to purchase 3/4 of the set, and finding just last piece used would most likely be more difficult that finding an entire set. Also food for thought, we I asked about the availability they gave me the price as well... About 250000yen. That's about 2100$ U.S. Although that would have included the fronts which as you stated aren't required if you've still got your own.
  5. Just for a bit of info I have checked with nissan here in Japan, of the 6 pieces only 3 are still available through nissan (the center pieces for each side and the left rear piece).
  6. Big fan of the whitelines. I've got the front and rear bushes installed in my diff, I recommend them over nissan due to the nissan bushes using a steel casing which needs to be pressed in.
  7. Well balls, I knew I forgot something. I know the GTR trim is available and is about 17000 yen. I'm picking up some more parts tomorrow so I'll ask.
  8. Finally made it to Nissan, none of the radios are available.
  9. quick update... after alot of researching it seems the manual aircon in the early base model R32's have the same harness as the N1 spec heater only controllers (same part number 24042-01U00) just listed differently. So if anyone has any idea where I can find an R32 (maybe a GTS or GTST) with the manual aircon that would be willing to sell their parts or maybe trade up for an ECON unit please let me know. Cheers
  10. As stated looking for the wiring harness for a manual aircon R32, the harness should be tagged as 24042-01U00. Any information would be greatly appreciated, I would also be willing to trade my ECON and harness for the parts if someone is looking to upgrade.
  11. I'll double check anyway just to be sure, could be an old price. I haven't checked the mail since Friday, I'll check to see if the binnacle showed up and let you know.
  12. 28115-01U00, I think this is the part number, it's the early style cassette radio for the rb20 and rb25 cars. The CD player is 28182-01U00, however it's listed at around 70000yen. I can check to see if these are still available when I pick up some parts from nissan tomorrow if you want.
  13. Part number is G3810-04U01 Should be listed as: visor-roof
  14. Bumper mounted mirrors it is! Nizmo, I agree, I don't think there is going to be a mirror that will look like it belongs or is not awful. Those rain guards are nissan oem, I'll get you a part number if you want it.
  15. If I hated the standard side mirrors then I wouldn't be taking the time to fix the motors in them, as stated in the post above I am using the blank to keep water out of the car while I do this. As for the side mirrors there are many cars in japan that continue to use them, mostly Toyota. Although you lose some vision due to mirrors being an increased distance away from the driver you gain a better view of both mirrors by moving them inward and forward allowing easier viewing (read less head movement to check your mirrors). This was simply an idea I had that serves a purpose while giving a fresh perspective on a way to set up an R32 that would be very different than just throwing on a ganador miror.
  16. Update, got the blank installed along with some new trim and small pieces for the doors today and this is what she looks like... I really like the sleek look but I think the large drivers mirror throws it off. Im not really convinced of the look yet but I was thinking either a low profile fender mirror might be able to pull it off or I could try for a low profile drivers mirror in black to even out the color. In the mean time it will keep my interior dry while I fix my mirror motors. Thoughts?
  17. So I was browsing the part diagrams for the R32 and found parts listed for fender mounted side mirrors and blank covers for the door mounted mirrors. Me being the loser that I am, I wanted to see what my GTR looked like with the passenger mirror deleted (most of the old muscle cars had only drivers mirrors in the 60s) since the delete plate is pretty cheap. That got me thinking though, Ive never seen the fender mounted side mirrors on any R32, couldn't even find a picture on google images for it. Anyone ever seen these installed or have a picture of them?
  18. If anyone is looking for new key /lock sets the part numbers are... 48700-71L88, steering ignition only. 99810-05U25, ignition+doors+boot matched set. The ignition only is about 23000 yen and the complete set is about 39000 yen.
  19. Gho5t, thanks for that link, I was following it on yahoo auction. Can anyone put me in contact with someone that has an N1 with the factory non-AC equipment still installed?
  20. http://page4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d163931545 Here's the auction for the glovebox Econ/radio relocation.
  21. I looked through all the ones on yahoo and no one listed a manufacturer. I'll stop by the autobacs later and see if they can find it.
  22. not sure, Im in japan so I have a friend order everything for me. Import monster was mentioned to me as a sie that imports from yahoo auction, you might want to check them out.
  23. I believe this is the harness you were reffering to... http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f148472437
  24. they are everywhere on yahoo auction japan (the extensions), not sure of the maker but the usually run 5000 yen. Also I just bought a glove box insert that has mounting points for the radio and econ unit, Ill post some pictures and see if I can find a makers mark or something for that as well.
  25. Nissans out and all the internet parts ordering companies just order from Nissan so it's a no go (tried it just to be sure).
