  1. my g/f is in yr. 12 and she comes home some days and is all excited to tell me about how "some guys were talking about cars and they didnt know what they were talking about and then one of them said something realllly stupid so i corrected him" i'm such a bad influence on the poor girl, she barly knew the colour of a car when i first met her. lol.
  2. i'll see if my scanner is working if it is i'll post up the dyno sheet. the turbo was a HKS 2535. i think the car used to be a track car thats why there is still a smallish turbo on it... that problem should be solved by monday GOT LAG lol

  4. yes i understand this is an old thread but i want to comment anyway. it makes you wonder how many people out there are professional car thiefs. this was no ammature job on a VK commodore. like it might only be a stock immobalizer sp? but still i know that i could not break into a car disarm it and make a getaway in the middle of the day in a westfield carpark. these people are professionals and will take you car no matter how good your alarm is. its all just a matter of time. an unfortunate reality but a reality non the less.

DCIEVE yes it is the one in HPI, when it was featured in hpi it had not been tuned yet but made 220rwkw shortly after, i got the car retuned without any mods and it made 240rwkw. when it made that figure that was as high as it could go as it was being restricted by the injectors and fuel pump (all GTR gear). i am now in the process of replacing these pieces and have just bought a new turbo. i will be getting the car tuned in the next few weeks so i will post up the final readout. If i dont manage to break 320rwkw then i will be getting a nitrous kit to make up the difference. as for the other modifications this is a short list (you can understand that i do not want to advertise what is under the bonnet for thiefs) hks 272 cams tomi 2.3 stroker (apparentally) hks cam gears ECCS plenum (changed from NCIS) i am assuming some head work mangled exaust (also getting repaired)
  6. I only just found this thread so i thought i would post up where my engine is at. Last dyno run it made 240.6KW at the rears. That was on a max tune with the mods at the time. I have since been upgrading parts and all i need now is a better turbo. I have been told that 300rwkw should be "a walk in the park" for my engine. So as any logical person would do i am aiming at 350rwkw. I am hoping to have this done before compac attack in April but unfortunatally parts are taking there time to turn up. I have no 400m times yet as this is my everyday driver and i have not been able to get down to WSID and had the money to not care if it breaks.
  7. my mates RX7 had a hidden kill switch that we did not know about, the fog light button hadbeen changed over to kill the fuel pump when it was flicked. Anyway, one day i was sitting in the car and got bored so i decided to start playing with stuff and i ended up flicking this switch and flicked it back again. After basically pulling everything apart we found the fuel pump was not working but notbeing able to find the problem we gave up and left the car there for the weekend. Come monday we got the auto electriction in and after ****ing round with the car for a few hours we were going to wire the tail lights to the fuel pump so we could drive it to his workshop when i noticed that there was some white paint on the foglight switch. after pulling the switch out i found the kill switch leads and joined them together tocomplete the circut. What had happened was that because the switch had not been used in so long the terminal had corroded so that even though the switch was in the "on" posotion there was no current flowing through. All because i decided to play with the switch.
  8. really like the stock look. proberly a good thing in the bay to, means that you won't get it key'd or nicked. its a bit unfortunate when you have to think about that at all!

  14. My first ride in a skyline was in GTSPEC which involved massive powerslides through the rocks in sydney, followed half an hour later by driving around sydney for a few hours in FLYBYE. i guess you could say i have had high expectations ever since
  15. just wondering if anyone knows how to install a shift light (one without a tacho) to an RB20DET? edited to not have shit in title lol.
  16. the standard computer is retunable but for the best results for minimal money use a microtech. if anyone remembers the old DEXTER 180 that was initially a retuned stock computer but had idol problems. I now has a microtech LTX-8 and runs extremely smooth.
  17. Does anyone know where i can get hold of english instructions for an F-con navagator? So far i have only been able to get a japanese copy. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards Dean
  18. i have a 2 way alarm and an immobiliser i dont lock the doors as the car is parked outside my bedroom and i have a bat next to my bed, i would prefer the thief to try the door handle first and be supprised when it sets the alarm off instead of smashing a window

    i have 4 supra rims 2 with new rretreads, 2 useable rubber. they fit my nissan 200zr which is a 5 stud, i assume they would fit yours. they are in newcastle though
  21. Ok, i just have to ask. My car as i bought it from japan was built extremely well... 2.3 stroker, 272 cams, 2535 turbo and so on. (i'm not trying to talk it up or anything i am just making a response easier) the workmanship is excellent and has obviously taken a lot of time. the car DOES NOT have a blow off valve. i have kept it this way as it is a big defect me sign to any cop who wants to look under the bonnet. but is it doing my car as much harm as people say. the car has been running 1.2 bar boost for as long as i had it and had that dialed in from japan and i have not noticed any negative effects as of yet resulting from not having a blow off valve. any help would be appreciated.
  22. One of the worst i have had (while not driving a skyline it is still a 240rwkw RB20) was after seeing how my car goes came this to his son (son told me after) son: is that car fast? dad: not at all this would easily beat it The car in question... a standard VS 6 cyl.
