have been for a drive in that car it is a very nice piece of gear. the worst part about it iss that the odds are that he will never see it again. by now it has proberly been stripped to a bare shell and dumped somewhere. People should get a life and stop distroying other peoples by stealing the things that they work so hard to achieve

I dont know what price they go for, i just know what i paid for it. I think that $1500 is still decent considering that it is in the country ready to use and is brand new. As for the software i dont know, i just needed one for my car so i told my garage to order it. It is the newest model F-Con for a RB20DET and it is BRAND NEW that is about all i can tell you.

As a P plater in a high power car i think i have the most at stake with this subject. The problem is the lack of experiance, or moreso, the lack of training. Anyone is at risk behind the wheel of any car, it is just that generally people who have been driving longer have a greater understanding of what a car can do. EDUCATION is the answer, and stricter testing when initially getting a licence. to pass a licence test is a piece of piss, i am scared by how some of my friends drive, i would not have passed them! But of all my friends do you know the car i will not drive in a HUNDAI GETZ!!! the driver of this car is just insane he thinks he is a race car driver, he has gone off the road and into gutters, roundabouts, parks and about everywhere else you can go when a car is out of controll. My point is that you are less safer in a car like a Getz, there designed for little old ladies who drive 20k's under the limit. there not safe in an accident, they are tin cans on wheels and i think that crash related deaths will increase due to poor suspention, breaks, tires, saftey systems and everything else assosiated with these cheap "safe" shopping trollies. People are not going to slow down because there car is underpowered, i have seen a getz do over 160kph and i was yelling for the car to slow down because you can feel the poor quality engeneering at those speeds. compare that to a well engeneered skyline with suspention, brakes and a quality shell. I know what i would prefer to be in!!

Speed or wheels or some such magaziene has approached Autostyle in sydney about using there white R34 with the carbon fibre bonnet to put up against a 550 maranello. the R34 is making 400+awkW from memory. Just wondering what people thought of this?? Is it a fair comparrison or is the 34 to modified to be classed against a "standard" car? The R34 can be viewed at www.autostyle.com.au

Ok, the problem is when you are just slightly accelerating, when you are just accelerating and the engine is making thet burbling noise. This is when the car will start missing. It is proberly your computer, at least that is what mine is. By accelerating hard you clean the carbon build up off the spark plugs that is put there by (i guess) overfueling caused by a bad computer tune. Have you recentally had your altonator replaced / any other electrical work compleated that cound effect the current? when i had my altanator replaced the regulator was faulty and caused an increase in current as the car reved higher. The increase in current was sufficent enough to blow my lights and F-CON computer (resulting in one unhappy pappy). this is when the missing problem started. So, check the current, check the sparks for excessive carbon and replace the problem because it will only get worse. Hope i could help.

Have you been playing with any switches in the car that you do not know what they do?? my mate did this and turns out that one had been rewired as a kill switch for the fuel pump. because it had not been used in so long, even though he flicked it back to the opperating position the terminals did not connect properly and took us a day to figure out the problem.

Quite possibly the engine management, i will find out on wednesday. My car is doing this also as my computer has blowen and is getting replaced on wednesday. I will give you the results as soon as i find out myself.

272degree camms, even if only for the sound. got them in mine and makes a big difference. also if you are going the forged postions, get the tomi 2.3L kit this uses tomi pistons and rings along woth GTR crank and rods. Once again this make a massive difference.

350rwkw isnt that unachieveable, i hope to have that as a minimum once i have finished my rebuild. I currentally have 223rwkw with moderate boost and a small turbo.

Had mine featured in issue 45 of HPI mainly cause of its rarity, and style of modifications. Hopefully i can get a second feature once i have finished the car.

Something about skylines makes them great wedding cars! At my cousins wedding we had 3 R32 GTR's some of you might know them... the lead car was FLYBYE the middle car was DARDVL followed up by GTSPEC. Now that turned some heads, especially when Dom started doing donuts with the bride and groom in the car outside the reception place in DARDVL, got pulled by the cops and got away with it

Strange place for the catch can!

There is one in Newcastle. someone jsut bought it from the sketchys't caryard around but i looked at the car while it was there... seemed in good nick. Tried to catch him for a race in mum's 9-5 aero saab yesterday but there was to many cars between us lol. thought it might be a close race, was intrested to see how it would turn out. Will have to track it down in mum's car again (would use my car but don't want to embarres him... its only stock)

Don't worry mate, once you get on your P's you will have a whole new set of drama's. Example: i have had multiple people (generally ladies and generally 50+) literally yelling ans screaming at me to slow down from the side of the road when i have been cruising at under the speed limit in residential style streets. I thing that because you are a P plater with a loud car they assume that you are speeding! So dont worry, it happens to all of us. You just have to accept that there is some tools out there and look out for them when you are driving. Cause they proberly won't be looking out for you!
