sounds like the electronic auto is acting funny.. they're a piece of crap on the s3's apparently. Either that or some exhaust problem? Anyhow, probably best get another mechanic have a look. You could always change the spark plugs and leads, fuel filter -- may as well do it anyhow. Might make a difference.

extractors are a nice upgrade.. and you can get them nice and cheaply 2nd hand. Just the other day i sold rsx84 above a set for $100, so that is a fairly cheap upgrade My old R31 didn't have extractors or exhaust system, my current one does, and sounds and goes a noticeable amount better. my car went on the dyno .. big flat spot at 4000rpm.. mine really suffers from the stock ECU gavin was saying.. only real solution would be a powerFC. What sort of snoop james? want me to ask about it, or have a look and see what has been done (if possible)
