  1. I just filled out 8 entries myself, glad I shoved all those receipts into the centre console
  2. Silver car with black rims, that thing must never need to be washed!! A lot more practical than my own black duco/white rims combo. Your car looks awesome, it's got to be one of the cleanest cars on the road, not even a stone chip on the front. Love the new look, but then again it's a Skyline, how can it look bad
  3. Are you doing it yourself? When I first got my Skyline my seals were shagged, I went to Perth Brake Parts and picked up some new ones for about $1-2 each.
  4. How many km's on the turbo? What sort of condition is it in? And how much does a GT28BB flow?
  5. Hooper's Smash in Bibra Lake are pretty cheap. I had some rust cut out by them and it was a good job.
  6. They do have a bit of the 'jelly beans' about their shape, but everything else is nice. Perhaps with some nice paint and rims could look good.
  7. I filled up at BP Myaree this arvo, so they've still got some for now.
  8. I filled up this arvo at BP Myaree on Leach Highway, so they've still got petrol for now.
  9. Congrats to your brother, looks like a very interesting car with the twin turbo setup and the water to air cooler. I like that second pic, he looks like he's shitting himself in the driver's seat
  10. Mine died after about a month of owning it. It seemed in pretty good nick when I got the car so I think I killed most of the stocker. Got a heavy duty and haven't had any troubles since (about 10 months now).
  11. How much for the old bird cage????? Just kidding, but on a serious note, how much power does a 2510 give?
  12. I think there's a UK brand called Motech (or Motek, something like it anyway) which make all sorts of car accessories, including exhausts, so they might not have been far off in that one. But still, who'd replace a VTEC engine with an SR?
  13. Your budget will probably also affect your decision, but the advice by merlin is basically the difference. The Skyline is a better built car, the 180 is a cheaper version. It also depends on what you're after in terms of comfort, racing (track, drift, drag), power etc.
  14. It might be a good idea to to all the prep work yourself if you're looking to save some money. It's not hard to sand it back and put some primer on it yourself, just consult the spray shop first as to what primer to use. I've recently repaired and repainted my own front spoiler after tearing it in half on a curb, haven't finished it yet, but it's not too hard to do yourself.
  15. Thanks for all the ideas guys and Rob for the offer of the ramps. I ended up borrowing some ramps off a mate who lives nearby and used our slanted driveway to get under the car. Already have a high pressure hose and some degreaser, so was able to give it a good clean. Didn't realise that some areas under there are actually grey, not black!! Anyway, came up well, so I'd recommend this technique for anyone doing the same.
  16. I heard that there is somewhere you can drive your car up onto a big ramp or something and get underneath so you can have a go at it with a high pressure hose. Although I'm thinking the driveway idea might be the best option as I have a steep drive, just have to get a hold of some ramps.
  17. I need to wash the underside of my car to get rid of some oil, and need to find somewhere where I can do this. I've tried the search function on here but came up with nothing, anyone know where I'd be able to wash the underside of my car? Cheers
  18. Just check your odometer before you drop the car off. I don't think anyone's going to go to the trouble of winding it back just so they can go for a thrash. I got my alarm done by Raheem. Good price and good job.
  19. Does anyone at least have a diagram they can provide a link to? I'm pretty sure I have the right reservoir, I just want to be certain.
  20. I know this is a pretty mundane question and a rather obvious one to most, but is the power steering reservior on an R32 GTSt the black cannister thingy with the lid which has a floaty bit for the high/low measurement on the passenger side close to the strut tower? I'm guessing this is it, but it doesn't have a label and I can't find a diagram where it's labelled. I'm asking this because my HICAS light is coming on and everything else seems to be fine, but this cannister is low on fluid. I'll run the HICAS diagnostic tomorrow to make sure, but that thing always confuses me with it's flashing lights in strange sequences. My steering also seems to be playing funny buggers with me as today I was driving home and whenever I got to about 60km/h my wheels seemed to want to turn right and I had to steer towards the left in order to keep the car straight, it would then go straight again when I slowed down. I think my steering rack may be shagged or something in it may be broken, got it checked by Pedder's a couple of months ago because of a noise which is still there, but they only replaced a couple of bushes. Might have to pay them another visit. Cheers for the help.
  21. If you look inside the match stick connector, you'll see small indents inside the end of it, these grip onto the end of the speedo cable which is also indented like a star (*). My connector was cracked, so I cut more plastic out of the crack in order to tighten up the grip it has on the cable. With the aid of a little araldite (not too much, you don't want your cable to seize), it now grips perfectly.
  22. The part which has cracked on your speedo is different to the part which cracked on mine. On your speedo, is there a sort of connector which sits in the end of the speedo cable (in the area where the arrow points to in the second pic)? Mine had a small plastic plunger style connector with a spring inside it which basically connected the two points seen in your pics. I'm not sure whether this is actually supposed to be there or not as the Nissan dealer couldn't track one down for me, nor could a local speedo company. Anyway, this is the bit which cracked on mine, not the bit which has cracked on yours. Sorry I couldn't help.
  23. Should give it a go yourself, decks aren't that hard to put in (unless its a tv or something with heaps of wires). I managed to put mine in ok and i'm crap when it comes to wiring. I guess it's a lesson for the future though. Bad luck with your car, hope it all looks good now.
  24. I'm also curious about what car it is. If it were a conversion I can understand that you'd be peeved at not having the bigger brakes, thicker drive shafts etc. (unless these have been changed), but the difference is pretty minimal in the end. If you're talking about say a Holden Walkinshaw replica as opposed to a real one or on an even greater scale a Ford GT40 replica instead of a real one, then I can understand that a lot of money would be involved. If the difference is just 2K, then I'd just try and get 1K back and cut your losses.
  25. No doubt the problems are related, I think if you run the HICAS diagnostic then it will tell you that there's a problem with the speed sensor. A question for people who have had and fixed this problem before: did anyone else have the little plastic connector that I mentioned in my previous post? When I was trying to fix the problem with my car, nobody seemed to be able to get me this piece without giving me the entrie sppedo cable, even then I couldn't be assured that the connector would be attached.
