I had mine for 3 days before I took it down Willowbank. Foot on brake hard and got to about 2300rpmas it started to creap and away I went and did a 16.1 with no mods at all everything standard and still are. About to do the valve body upgrade soon. just my experience. Cheers ICE

Hi all I wish to service my trannie so I thought why not do the valve body upgrade that ppl have been talking about. As I am in Darwin and these things are not easy to obtain. I heard that they are about $350 for the upgrade. I need to know of the part number and where I can buy one and if I will need to buy the filter as well if not part of the upgrade. Any help would be great and it may be worth while putting it on the parts list. ICE

From the inspection sheet I thinkit says that it is Rear Wheel Drive not AWD. But still a nice looking ride. Cheers ICE

My stagea climate control stays at the temp I set it at when I turn it off and then back on, stay the same, just how it came. This doesn't help but it must be able to be done. Cheers ICE

Three days after buying mine in Brissy I took it down Willow Bank. Had no idea how i should drive it (as too buttons pushed in, and still had the pram and suit cases in it). Beat most cars on the launch but lost time in the first hundred feet until around the 100 - 120 km mark then it started to pull. But best i could do was 16.1s. Stock standard no mods done. Car is now in Darwin and will see how it goes when the next season starts here. Cheers ICE

I will try and answer a few of your Q's. One of the reasons for it not being on the front windows is that it is alot darker than the T35 and therefore at night it becomes hard to see things. The glass is what they call smoked glass and not a film over the window. My old man took his 96 imported Surf over the PITS in Darwin MVR and they sent him away to get it scraped off as it was darker than the T35, he told them that it was a factory smoked glass but they didn't believe him. so he humoured them by taking it to a window tint place and they wrote a letter advising them that it can't be removed. He took it back and he had no further problems. Here in Darwin you can only put as dark as you like if it is listed as a panel van. Hope this helps ICE
