  2. HI all!!! I finally found out the issue with my car, ok it was idling rough like missing etc drove fine backfired a bit and i thought it was running slower and people were like nah your just used to it but up against my mates gtst i was barly pulling away so something was wong, everone told me coils look like the issue so i checked the coils and they are next to new.. no cracks or anthing, checked the plugs they were good. the compression was good so i wasnt sure. Recently the vac hose from the boost moduel on the drivers side had come off and i could not find the nossle for it to go on anywhere. finally i found it, its connected to what looks to be seperate from the intact manifold... it sits under the injector wiring case thing... what ever it is the connection was on the back of that. and just then i noticed the FPR is connected to the same thing but on the other side (front of the car) and the vac hose for that was not connected.. i was like what the!!! its pretty obvious but i have never noticed it. so i slid that on, what ver loose and the car started to idle perfectly not a miss to be heard and the idle speed went down.. (yeah i was doing this with the car running) after this i drove to work and when driving it didnt feel any different still back fired etc and when i got to work it was idling just the same. i thought o well guess that wasnt it. got home that night and thought i would just have a look and it was disconnected again!!! it was on so loose that the first signs of boost it blew off lucky i had some spare 4mm vac hose and i replaced it.... and it was a nice tights fit this time and the car has been perfect ever since... and DAMN i can feel the power once again :bananaman im sure it wasnt good running with this off for so long but hey it seams ok now and has been for like a week hehe so anyone with those tipes of issues check this vac hose just incase

I have a little question can anyone tell me where the vac hose from the little module under the bonnet on the drivers side goes to?? this is on an R32 GTR because my aftermarket boost gauge is T pieced into this and the line had split a little and while fixing i accidently pulled on the line a little hard and it has now come off from the engine end, and for the life of me i can not find where it goes... can anyone help me out with this?? the 3mm vac hose was getting a bit weak and i was always thinking to replace it but could never see where it went always looked like it went down behind the engine but when it was pulled out it is not as long as i thought it was so it cant go to far around. i know i could rig this up to any vac line but there is a vac connectiong constantly venting.. hehe the worst thing is i have no boost!!!! feels like an NA now any help would be really appreciated cheers
  5. yeah i know it should prolly go there but i cant see anywhere for it. I could never see where it went looked like around the back of the engine but when it was pulled out its not that long.... so somewhere there is a 3mm plug on the engine that is venting to atmosphere but that doesnt matter because it doesnt boost up without it being connected so at the moment its like im running a rb26 NA hehe it sucks
  6. Hey all. Just got back from taking the GTR on a bit of a drive, took it up to the sunshine coast and back... was a good drive and a good stay up there. the beast did quiet well on the trip. I have a little question can anyone tell me where the vac hose from the little module under the bonnet on the drivers side goes to because my boost gauge is T pieced into this and the line had split a little and while fixing i accidently pulled on the line a little hard and it has now come off from the engine end, and for the life of me i can not find where it goes... can anyone help me out with this?? Hi all, just a question. after i left hume last night did my car sound right? cause when i change gears it sounded like something was rattling or vibrating in the gearbox but only if i reved it to like 6.5K+. first time it has ever done it, dont know what the deal is, will be getting all new gear oils next week.... i swear i can **** up any car i own even with looking after it. :cuss:
  8. I would hate to know what i would do if i caught someone doing that to my car :headshot: . i would be so angy. very protective, my cars come in a close second to my gf I dont see how it can be fun for people to do this, i could never damage a car for fun.

  11. yeah thats mine Frink - yeah i still drive the mx6 in the week to work and that and leave the gtr as a going out car and weekend one etc. i have to park heaps far away at work and i dont like leaving the gtr that far away. but will be selling it soon hopefully, dont want to but hey no point having two cars thats i can poor money into prefer to poor it all into one which is the R.

  14. Woohoo got the back seat off i just lifted it up as hard as i could and they popped out .... bout time... :bananaman just need to get the back part off now, i couldnt see the screws holding it down it pulls out wards so i guess i can just lift it up off the top of the parcel shelf??

Ok have got the wire through fine now which is great thanx for everyones help!! now i call on you again...... i have been trying for the last hour to getthe back seat out and i am about to cut it out im so frustraited with it. i know it has two hooks but how the hell do i unhook them i have tried everything... i know it is simple it cant be any different than most back seats which i have taken my far share out. but god help me i cant get this one out and it is shitting me.. any pointers much appresiated im about to go loopy :headspin: if i didnt have 3k worth of stereo sitting idle in the garage i would not even bother

Cool that would be great. is there anything under the dash that i will need to removed to access it cause the other night i could not see where the wire would come out if i was to put it through the triangle bit. i could push it down but where does it go. i have alot of padding stuff lining up under the dash so i am guessing it is covering it in some way but looks like too much effort to remove it... and i dont want to go cutting it untill i know exactly where to do so.
  18. ive tried the car audio thread but i should have asked here first!! has anyone here put a stereo into a GTR R32 im looking for the easyest way to put a 2 gauge wire from the battery to the boot. i got some idea from when i asked this in the audio thread but the guy who is trying to help me has a GTS T and where he doesnt have things in the way i have plenty which makes it alot harder than he explained you can take a look at the thread Here any help would be great... or ideas

Yeah got all 4 at the same time all the same size all the same tyre... i might get someone to check out the susspension cause i think there is a camber issue for the front wheels.,,, could that cause it?? I never said i didnt want ABS i was just carrying on the discussion And i do want 4WD just liked it the way it used to be thats all was more aggressive you could say. what was i thinking when i bought the GTR... "I want godzilla" plus i wanted something that wasnt so common.
  20. Hahaha, what?? when did this turn into me not being able to brake. I was asking why my torque would be different now that i got new tires and an alignment.... i think someone said they where tied into the abs system.... for the record the GTR is the first car with abs i have had, used to rally the old 1980 323 RWD hatches.. they where the best. ABS does have its advantages though. anyway how about the torque issue??? hehe

Ok ive had a good look and i must be blind cause i cant see anywhere a 2 gauge wire could go through.. hell you can barly see most if the firewall in the GTR engine bay. obviously i can see spaces that go through like the throtle cable and heater pipes cluch etc but nothing spare or nothing with enough room for the 2 guage power cable, any suggestions?? or any pics of ones that have done it?? Cheers

I have 255 x 17 on all 4 yeah i replaced all 4 tires i did have P-Zeros on the front and yokahama advans on the rear. now i have kumho KU21's on all 4 yeah and they are all the same size 17x255 40's it just feels so much different like really lacking power. like i can be doing 160 in 5th and put the foot down and the torque will go to 10, but its also depends how much i put the foot down, half way it will only go in the middle of 0 and 10. before the new tires and wheel alignment it would only really go to the front if i launched of quick snap second quick or take a corner kicking it out. but once moving it would always drop to 0 at the fronts.. which was good. but now as long as i have the foot down it will always sit at 10...... see that could be normal but it felt so much better the old way. my coments on the abs is it doesnt bother me so much cause i have mostly driven old shitters with no abs so im used to it, but i have to say abs has saved my arse a few times when skipy's and cars that have pulled out in front.
  25. HI all OK i dont know if i have a problen here and i was wondering if someone could shed some light on this. When i forst got the GTR up untill just recently it used to really hammer. and looking at the torque gauge on the dash it would rarly go to the front wheels, would when i launched and if i changed gears hard but once moving it would show 0 to the fronts and really hammered. Recently i have had new tires and a wheel alignment done. now it always seams to show around 10 on the gauge, if im just cruising around it wont but as soon as i put the foot down doesnt matter what gear what speed the torque gauge will go up and will stay there till i take my foot off, because of this it doesnt seam to be as quick when its up and moving still lightnight of the start but once moving i can feel the lack of power because its going to the fronts when it used to be all at the rears. Would anyone know whay this is??? cause im not sure which way is normal. also i was driving say a month back and one of the wheels came loose and my torgue gauge was up and down like a yoyo but once i got new nuts for it it and it wasnt moving around the car went back to normal, so im guessing the wheels can change this is some way, so did the alignment make it the way it is and how do i ge it back to the way it was?? cheers
