  1. Ah yes I remember, thanks for letting me know hopefully everything works out for you, I look forward to your call Edit: I also forgot to mention it comes with 2 spare keys, and a spare Hornet fob for the immobilizer.
  2. My number for the convenience of any guests viewing is 0433 687 366. Couldn't edit the original post, my apologies.
  3. Attached is the original auction sheet, records for the dash swap, and log book/service sheets.
  4. Hi guys, after dealing with a few time wasters I've decided to start advertising my car properly. Before you read on, please note the TE37's in the photos are no longer available. The car will sell with the original R34 GTR wheels in immaculate condition with almost brand new tyres. I'm looking to part with my bayside blue R34 GTR V-Spec to make way for an R35. Looking for genuine buyers who will appreciate the car for what it is. See below for a few brief details. 2000 model Bayside Blue V-Spec I'm the first Australian owner. Imported through Ben at J-Spec. The car went through auction as a grade 4.5B 39,000 genuine km with a full service history, no accident history, I own and will provide all associated paperwork including original auction sheet and de-registration certificate. A copy of the deregistration certificate can be seen at the below link: http://www.j-spec.com.au/J-Spec_Certified_Mileage.php?id=5e3b3fd42b0ced633adc61121d3d27 Car has a Nismo 320km cluster installed. I have a certificate in the log book which states it was changed in July of the year 2000 with 1250km on the clock. Nismo ODO reads 38,000. If the certificate isn't enough, every single service sheet since the car was brand new will also be included, which states the km at the time and the chassis number of the car. The car has great records and there are no doubts regarding the km. Car is largely in original condition. Engine is standard except for a Nismo exhaust, Apexi filters, Mines ECU, splitfire coilpacks and the boost restrictor has been removed. Exterior has a few mods; a set of Tein coilovers, genuine Nismo side skirts and rear pods, genuine Nismo clear indicator set, TWS Carbon wing stands (I have the original wing stands). Happy to answer all questions so feel free to comment here or PM me, I'll check daily. but please only do so if you're actually interested. I have absolutely no issue with any requests for workshop inspections, mechanical or otherwise. Looking for offers around the $70,000 mark. I will entertain all reasonable offers but I am in no rush so lets not waste each others time
  5. So much awesome in this thread.
  6. Photo from last weekend I really like
  7. That's not just a vs2, it's a Nür... A grade 5A one at that. I believe it's coming to Australia via import monster.
  8. Most definitely lol. They came with the rims and they've got some life in them so I figured I may as well use them
  9. Wheels: TE37's in bronze with machined lip in 19x10.5+12 Nismo skirts and rear pods Carbon wing stands/extenders from Team Wild Speed All fitted in the last couple of weeks.
  10. I agree the GTR's are getting old, but you only really feel it in the interior. The 34 is the best of them in that respect obviously. I've driven the new STI and been in the Evo 10, and my standard 34 with an exhaust and the boost restrictor removed is quicker than them both. Also, I think it was Powertune who put the new STI on a dyno and it made around 170-180kw. I had my 34 on a dyno recently and it made 200kw with only the mods listed above (~12 PSI). Not to mention, very few people look twice when an STI or Evo 10 drives past... I can't drive or park my 34 anywhere without getting some form of attention. I can see how it would be annoying if you were to daily it, but it's a cool feeling owning a car you rarely see on the road. As a few people have said to me, anyone can walk into a dealer and take home an Rex or an Evo. You made the right choice and you've got a relatively exclusive car. Enjoy
  11. Japanese History Check do take a while to respond, but I don't think it's entirely their fault. I believe to get the info they need it requires some action from the Japanese department of transport (and if it's anything like ours... Enough said). Either way I've used them a few times and they've been an excellent help. I've tried to follow this thread as best I can but I'm a little lost. Are you looking to buy the $45k car in the ACT? Great price provided it hasn't had any damage. If it has, and that's what you're in the market for, you can import some 'R' grade cars with minor accident history for less than what he's asking. Use a good importer to guide you of course. Just a thought... Might be worth considering.
  12. We purchased the car on the 15th of May and it landed at the port (Sydney/Wollongong) on the 19th of June. Keep in mind this was fairly fast. Then it spent a week in customs because my import approval was a bit late (because the car shipped so fast). Compliance took the longest, it spent around 7 weeks in the workshop awaiting the import plate. That's the department of transports fault though, not much you can do. While it was at the shop though I was able to visit it as much as I wanted, and even got to drive it a few times and install a couple of parts so it wasn't so bad. If you're in Sydney get Ben to send the car to Top Secret in Blacktown for compliance.
  13. Yeah he's a busy guy. I found it's always best to email him your questions [email protected] That way you have everything in writing.
  14. The spot rate I'm seeing now is around 88, so you'll likely get 87. It's not too bad, I got around 95 when I imported a few months back.
  15. I went through J-Spec mate. Ben is excellent, he did a great job. Www.j-spec.com.au Also, you're likely checking the retail exchange rate. You can probably ignore that, find the spot rate and deduct around 1 yen and that's the exchange rate you'll get. Ben will tell you how it's done if/when you buy a car
  16. Honestly man if you want a repaired write off, or an 'R' grade car, you can get a heap of low km examples imported for under $40k. No way I'd pay north of $50k for that. Nobody with a decent enough budget is going to want to buy that car off you later on when you're ready to get rid of it, you'll end up taking a sizable hit. You said you have a budget around 55k... Well I got my BSB v spec imported for around that and it's a grade 4.5 with 37,000 original km with books and no accident or repair history. Keep looking dude it's out there.
  17. There is no doubt in my mind that importing is the better option if you're after quality and variety. My advice is to spend the money and get the best possible car, the higher your budget the less time it takes to find 'the one' because your options will be more open. In terms of paperwork and history, some will have it and some won't. Again, the more expensive (and clean) the car is, the higher the chance it has been properly looked after with books. I'd say most 4.5 rated cars would come with a good amount of paperwork (that's probably part of the reason they get a 4.5 rating), I even got 2 spare keys which I thought was cool. And yeah, J-Spec or Iron Chef would be perfect. I say J-Spec because I used them and the car speaks for itself.
  18. Thurrzor, you have to be very careful with the lower grade cars (3.5 for example). There is an enormous condition gap between a 3.5, 4 and 4.5 and remember it's generally down to the inspectors opinion. When I was buying, I saw a V-Spec II with 18,000 genuine KM that was rated grade 4, however it had so much rust that it wouldn't have passed compliance here in Aus, rendering the car useless and unregisterable. A lot of inspectors at auction houses won't pay attention or comment on rust. You'll find that any good importer like iron chef or j-spec will simply tell you they won't bid on a car with those sorts of issues regardless how much you beg. I can't imagine anything worse than getting a grade 3.5 car here that won't comply to Australian standards, even if you only paid 25 - 35k.
  19. I imported one a few months ago through J-Spec. I think I was a little more specific than you (I wanted blue, under 60,000km, had to be V-Spec or better and grade 4 or better, preferably 4.5). Long story short I found exactly what I wanted, blue grade 4.5 V-Spec with 37,000 original km's complete with paperwork and entire service history since new. It cost me about $56k inclusive of everything except registration/insurance. The dollar was much stronger vs the yen when I bought though, from memory I got around 95 yen per Aussie $. Either way, if that same car were selling locally the person would probably be asking 65k+ (judging by what's on car sales now). Oh and it's almost completely stock, including the original factory tyres on the original rims. Lol. Safe to say I'd import again no worries.
  20. Thanks Yeah it was a good feeling, being a first time importer I had no idea what to expect but when I saw it for the first time I was extremely impressed. It's an awesome machine.
  21. I know this is a month-old post but I thought I'd share my experience. I was in the same boat as you, it was really difficult to find the perfect 34 GTR locally. I wanted a V-Spec or better, low km example, and it had to be blue. I gave up looking and contacted Ben over at J-Spec to get the ball rolling on an import. It was a tough decision to make at the time, but looking back it turned out to be 100% the right move. It can be daunting when you have to wait 3 months to take the car home, not to mention having to send tens of thousands of $ overseas, but with a good importer they'll make the process so seamless that you stop worrying pretty quick. Long story short, I now have an immaculate grade 4.5 Bayside Blue V-Spec, with 37,000 genuine km complete with a full service history (I'm talking every single service sheet since brand new). It cost me around $56,000 landed and complied which I thought was very fair considering I knew of 3 similar examples that sold locally during my wait time for $60,000+. Big shout out to Top Secret Imports here in Sydney as well, they made an otherwise painful compliance process super bearable. Awesome guys to deal with.
