  1. It can start up now. After a few attempts of turning the ignition on and pumped the gas abit, and it finally fired up. Thanks anyway Mad082. Cheers
  2. Hi all, I've been away for 2 weeks. This morning when I came back and tried to startup my car and it doesnt start up anymore (some smoke came out from the exhaust). I tested the battery and it's still full. All other electrical units in the car are still operational. Please help. Any help would be appreciated Ken

  4. Hi guys, I've gone through the checklist given by you geniuses. Below is a summary of the result Is the car blowing any smoke? No. In fact, I cant smell anything like the clutch is burning Leaking in the IC plumming? No "hissing" was noticed I havent checked for plug gaps cuz I dunno how to Finally, I winded the turbo back to 10psi and reset the ECU and it's running smoother with much better response (VERY HAPPY ) Yes, I'm running a factory ECU. Is that why my car couldnt run at 13psi properly? Would remapping the ECU or changing to an aftermarket one (PowerFC) help? Other than that, Thanks so much for your help guys! I'm pretty happy with my line now

  6. Hi all, I've just installed a boost tap for my R33 GTST and winded it up to 13 psi. Took it out for a test. - 1st gear was extremely powerful, 2nd gear was normal (couldnt feel the pull), 3rd gear was also more powerful than before. However, intercooler pipe was loose at one of the joints and the engine stalled...(The turbo was glowing redhot when i opened the bonnet). Took it back to the garage and tighten up the pipes properly. After 2 weeks, I started to feel a huge lag on 3rd and 4th gear, and couldnt feel any more power on the 1st nor 2nd gear even thouggh I can still feel/hear the engine and turbo work very well (Boost gauge still shows 13psi). My friend said my clutch has worn out (it doesnt go as it sounds). I'm just wondering if anyone here has experienced the same problem before or has any idea what exactly is the problem? Any help would be appreciated...Thanks in advance Ken P.S My line basically has full exhaust system, pod, and intercooler.

  8. Hi, Initially I have a 3" cat back exhaust system. Yesterday I just put on a 3" dump and front pipe (turbo to cat) to make it a complete 3" turbo back exhaust system. However after that when I took it out for a drive I noticed everytime I changed gear at 3000 RPM or more the exhaust made a sound ("boof").....like a backfiring sound....the same thing happened to my friend's S15 but at very high RPM (e.g. 5000RPM)....Does anyone know whats wrong? thanks..
  9. I have a problem with my Odometer, I bought it a year ago and it was 115000Kms on the Odometer. One day i was driving and suddenly I noticed it says 230000Kms which I believe it's supposed to be 130000Kms cuz I'd only driven it for 15000kms. The old owner told me there is a minor problem with the Odometer it's not functioning correctly sometimes...is there a way to fix it?

  11. I tried to tighten the BOV spring but that didnt fix the problem. I'll probably put the stock BOV back on tomorrow and see how it goes. thanks for your advises guys.
  12. My friend told me after you've upgraded your exhaust system from the stock one or putting on an after mark BOV sometimes you need to re-tune your vale timing?...or something like that...is that true?
  13. Thanks for your help guys...I'll try to tighten it first if that doesnt work then I'll put back the standard BOV. One more thing, this problem also occured sometimes in the past when the car still had the standard BOV and standard exhaust.
  14. Hi all, I just installed a 3" cat back exhaust system and HKS SSQV BOV for my R33 yesterday and It's been experencing alot of engine stalling after that. When I put on the clutch (for 5 sec) and the brakes at the same time for slowing down from 2000rpm or more...the car just stalled. This happened before I put on the exhaust systems and the BOV but very rarely...now it just happens everytime I slow down with the clutch down. Any help would be very grateful.
