  1. Drags didn't go so well, was ford and holden night so packed. Only got 3 runs in so didn't really get to figure out whats good and whats not with the launch control. End up running 12.5, 12.7, 12.7, far from my PB 12.1. Can't hook up off the line, needa get that diff and subframe bushes in asap!

Picked up these bride reps today for a reasonable price. Gave them a quick clean and threw em in. Almost full racecar spec now :P

HG and stubs have been shipped from Jesse, should be here next week sometime :D Also ordered a ball joint press kit off ebay to do my hicas eliminator kit (thanks for the tips kingtube), expecting that next week as well. Will replace my front tie rods as well and get a wheel alignment. Anyone have any alignment recommendations for a street car?

  2. Started running like shit again on saturday night, sputtering and carrying on. Checked it all yesterday and found my battery was only getting 12.8v @2k rpm. Threw a new alternator in and good to go, 14.1v at idle. Took her for a drive, drives mint again.

All my stuff from Jesse streeter has been ordered now, cams aren't in stock again till later this month so will be waiting a little on those. But my stubs and headgasket are getting sent off shortly :)

  3. Got off my ass today after work and decided to throw the new rad in. Little bit of fkin around but not too bad. Was mainly because I couldn't see much once the sun went down..... Keen to see how this goes. Will be changing the radiator cap to a Tridon 1.1 bar some time shortly as well.

I had heaps of problems getting my GKTECH bushing in. So much that I removed it and binned it. I messaged GKTECH about it and they were pretty dismissive.
Did you end up putting your hicas elim in your car BTW?

No problems for me mate, few hits with the hammer and it popped right in.

I haven't yet, was waiting until i get my diff built and then do subframe bushes and hicas elim all at the same time.

  5. Radiator came last week so i'll install it sometime this week before breakky and laps on Sunday.

Have also ordered my side flanges for my nismo diff from Jesse Streeter, along with a tomei headgasket and a set of poncams.

Had a few ideas for it, but just gonna stick with stock motor with HG, studs, cams and springs. Will probably do some oil control mods while I have the head offf as well.

  6. Went down to QR last night for Roll Racing! Car performed pretty well, end up making it through a few elimination rounds. Also managed to spring a leak from my radiator. So I've ordered a new worley rad off ebay and also a set of ARP Headstuds :)

Decided to give her a clean as well as try restore the headlights. Came up 100x better than what they were. Totally changes the look of the car. Mate also just picked up his new 1.5, so I'll be helping him sort out some mods in the next few months 8)

Fair enough man, personalised plates must be cheaper in VIC.
    Nice car and build thread.

Yeah, probably. I have these plates for life though unlike i believe in nsw you gotta pay yearly??

    Thanks mate

Nismo centre requires different stub axles that are equal lengths. Factory Nissan vlsd has two different length stubs. Usually Nismo diffs come in a kit including stubs, oil and other bits and pieces. I have read that two of the longer stubs from a vlsd can be used but not sure if that is accurate. You can buy the Nismo stubs separately for around the $300 mark.

I have just been doing some research but couldn't find anything... All GTR stuff haha... Do you know where I could source the stubs?

Only reason I asked was because there was one for sale for 650 on gumtree, bnib but it didn't come with the stub axles which made it not such a good deal. If yours is complete, you got yourself a bargain and a half.

Yeah mine didn't come with stub axles either. Can't you retain the factory ones?

So did those plates cost $2395?

    Yeah plates were $2395.

  9. Couple small updates... Drivers window got stuck down today, tested it all and have come to the conclusion that my window motor's f**ked... So trying to find a wreck to get that, also a/c condenser fan and boot interior as mines shocking!

Photo of how she's sitting atm. Things on the to do are: catch can and also oil cooler/relocator.

Was my birthday on Monday so decided to pay the rest of my plates off as my present to myself ? PPQ said they should be sent within 2 weeks!

Also been pricing up parts to get my head rebuilt with MLS HG, ARP Studs, Valve Springs, Cams (undecided yet, thinking 260 of 264), new valve stem seals etc. Hoping with these additions/improvements Ill make around 470-480whp.

Oh yeah, diff arrived last week!! Trying to source a cheap diff so i can throw the center in and also a subframe to put some poly bushes into and swap it all in one hit without my car being off the road for to long!

Trident mentions cams so I'm guessing 98.

Cracking 300 is so much easier on jungle juice but your range will be like 200km. Not really feasible for a multipurpose car, unless you go flex like Johnny keeps on preaching... though it's a costly exercise if you're paying rack rates for your tunes

It's a piece of piss haha... I want 300rwkw on 98 which the turbo should be able to do...

    I'm running flex fuel already.

Blitz return flow FMIC, 256 poncams, Snow Performance Stage III WMI [mainly to control knock], an older Boss SS cat [no idea of the cell size], GT3076WG on a HKS extrude honed cast low mount and a HKS 40mm external WG and just nailed 302rwkw at 18psi, so it can be done but it ain't easy!!!

Is that on 98 or e85?

    I made 328rwkw on E85 @22psi. GT3076R-WG, CRG Highmount Mani with Turbosmart Hypergate45 and Ebay Intercooler I think. Only made 280rwkw on 98 @18psi.

    Hmmmmmmmmmm....

  12. Not much has happened with her lately! Got some brand new splitfires ridiculously cheap off ebay.... $295 posted! Will be able to run more boost once I do headgasket and studs  now :)

Also just purchased a brand new nismo 1.5way for an absolute steal, $650 posted! Hopefully have that this week and rip my diff out and get it rebuilt :D

  13. Got the brakes all done on Christmas Eve. Braking is way better and no more warped rotors causing shakes at highspeed braking... Pedal feel feels a bit soft at the start though. This is how she sitting atm, looks sweet with the brakes filling the wheels :)

Went down to the Gold Coast on Boxing day to have a look at a couple of r33's for my mate. Nothing decent around atm in his price range. But I picked up a few new parts while we were down there :) Picked up a new fog light cover, need to get it painted this week and throw it on. Better condition steering wheel, Nismo 300km dash, and some stock tail lights. Not sure if I wanna put the stock tail lights back in yet or not though.
