  1. Had to jump start my car after being away for 2 weeks, and when the car warmed up the idle would start dropping every 7ish seconds, and when it dropped the car would start shaking and a metal grinding sound was coming from the engine, sounds like as if you were slowly drilling through a piece of metal for about a second, and would then rise again. Never did this before, I could feel the grinding when the idle dropped when I put my hand on the intake piping. Was too scared to drive it after that. Any ideas?

Was down shifting from 3rd to 2nd coming up to a set of lights, when depressing the clutch, there was a bit of a crack I felt through my foot, so I popped it into neutral and coasted to a stop, half of the clutch pedal travel was now slack and I couldn't get it into first. Mate helped me push it around the corner, and after pumping the crap out of the pedal, it could just get into first, which helped me get it home, it seems to have gotten a tiny bit better, but I have no idea what i should be looking for, the fluids are fine. Any help appreciated, thanks!
  3. Car is a r34 gtt, was previously running 255rwkw on an unopened engine with a Garrett gtx2867r and ps2000 + supporting mods before the bottom end went due to oil starvation. The engine has been rebuilt with the following: Reconditioned head Titanium valve springs and retainers Tomei Poncam type b Block was acid bathed, bored and honed Arp head studs Arp rod bolts Crank collar fitted Crank polished Race bearings Forged pistons and rods N1 pump Restrictors Mls head gasket Probably missed a few things but thats mainly it, clearences and balancing were all done by my engine builder and rotating assembly also assembled by him. It will also be running a haltech flex sensor, should i get my tuner to install it? This is my first engine build and Im extremely nerveous about turning the key.. what are some things i should do before kicking it over? I will be using a mineral oil with no additives, will also prime the engine and counter rotate it. Can I start the engine with its current tune? Can it be started breifly to check it actually runs before taking it to my tuner? Thanks for any help
  4. The car will be running around 500whp,would it be better to run a row cooler? It looks like the ball fell out of the oem cooler, would this effect it in any way? http://imgur.com/TUby5RO
