  1. UPDATED : I ended up selling the car as it was just getting worst every time I drove it, got rid of it and decided to get a 350Z and probably best decision I’ve made sticking with Nissan.
  2. Omg thanks for the reply everyone !! Glad to know there’s a great community going on here! Just a quick update for everyone about the car that looks great but doesn’t run properly ! Turns out the head gasket needs replacement.. and the mechanic also discovered the A/T light keeps flashing and he did the diagnose to check the errors and it turns out my transmission needs a new solenoid as it’s locked in limp mode.. Slowly finding out more and more terror! If only money was growing in my backyard tree. But thanks everyone big lesson learnt!
  3. I bought a Skyline R34 Turbo for about $10,000 but without roadworthy, the dodgy owner said there shouldn’t be anything needed for RWC and I trusted his words! :s But once I got the car and took it to mechanics and inspected it.. Mechanic said the car had a accident in the front and it pushed in some mechanical parts. Founding: -Ignition Coils MisFiring & Spark plugs were on there way -Rear Suspensions were busted -Missing Parking light wires -Water Pump leaking at weep hole -Instrument Cluster is Faulty -Missing 5 Wheel studs in Total -Harmonic Balancer was bent and damaging the belts -Radiator slowly leaking -Tyres has about 30% tread left -No coolant found in radiator so it rusted and corroded And the list goes on.. I just wanted to share my devastating story. I got $20 savings left in my bank account and hopefully that covers the cost of repairs ?
  4. The incident happened when he was putting the power cable through the firewall and he said he must’ve split one of the wires accidentally while pulling it through where the BCM and other fuses were located. LUCKY LUCKY!
  5. Hey guys FINALLY FOUND THE PROBLEM !! The mechanic followed the installation where all the wires were going and found a split wire hanging out, we fixed that up and now it’s all working !! Well done everyone for helping out! That was a hell of a task !! Tricky car !!
  6. Here’s a photo where I mounted the ground wire for the amp (rear boot)
  7. I took it back to the mechanics today and they tested the fuses and made sure all my ground wire was connected properly and it is. The amp ground cable is bolted in on the original amp holder and there was no loose cable that was hanging around so that clears that out. The mechanic just bought a spare BCM and other circuit board and is gonna try and replace it to see the difference if it works then I’ll have to reprogram my key and etc. Hopefully it gets fixed because I need to drive at night time sadly [emoji20] I’ll keep you all up to date ! Thanks guys
  8. Thanks Max I have a feeling it could be a loose ground of some sort too and I test the plate lights where the globe plugs in with a circuit tester to see if it lights up but nothing The technician said it could be my BCM (Body Control Module) but if it is would the OBD 2 scanner pick this error up just to clarify ? because I don’t want to get a new BCM if that’s not the culprit. Time for me to check the ground wires throughly again. Thanks Max you have been so helpful !
  9. So I checked with a multimeter and tested the tail light fuse next to the battery and it’s working, I checked all other fuses while I was at it. I tested my plate lights wire at the back and no light so it’s a wire that’s shorting it somewhere.. still boggled
  10. The ground wire in the rear seats near the speakers controls all the tail lamp/ license light as refer to the manual book, but when I check out my rear seats I can only see 2 wires coming out and it’s the rear speaker wires which are black and brown on the right side and on the left side it’s black/yellow & green/yellow And at the moment my Line out converter is connected to both of those rear speaker wires. Could that be the culprit ? And my Remote wire is connected onto my Mirror 10amp. The Red Power cable is from the battery straight to the amp. I just realise my centre console light isn’t on anymore, everything still works but has no light ... I’m gonna go buy a multi meter tomorrow !
  11. Thanks Max I’ve been looking around the tail lights and check the wiring and they been looking good so far, I moved them around abit in case it was crimped. All the cables were all visibly intact I have a itchy feeling maybe the line out converter is drawing out too much power and not putting out enough power for the tail light ? could it be a loose ground cable possibly ? Could it be my sub and amp ? :s I’ll dig in deeper and let you guys know and thanks for the advice guys !
  12. Yeah I still got the problem and I know it’s not the Fuse, it’s a wiring issue and he must’ve wired it up wrong or he damage one of the wires going to the tail light. The fuse translation is just for knowledge
  13. Hi guys I’ve been searching all over the net but can’t seem to get a translation on the interior fuse box Any help would be great !
  14. I tried taking off the Wedge connector that’s connected to the Remote cable and tried plugging back the 10amp fuse on its own but still no luck :S WTH COULD’ve HAPPENED :0
  15. -The amp is installed in the boot, -the remote cable is running from the amp and is connected to a Double blade fuse socket to my interior fuse box next to the drivers pedal -the Red power cable is connected to the battery straight the the Amp. -My Black ground cable is connected to the amp and to the body and secured tightly. -My RCA cable is connected to the Amp and going to the Line Out Converter. -The Line out converter has 4 wires on the other end (L+Green,L-Brown,R+Grey,R-Black) -The Line out converters wires are connected to the rear left and right speakers.
  16. Hi guys I just got my Amplifier and Subwoofer professionally installed using a 2 Channel amp + In line Converter. The Amplifier and Sub works great but after this installation my Tail light/lamp and License light stopped working ! So I can’t take it out at night :0 My front head light works and my brake light works when I press on it and reverse light works too. I did some research and heard the tail light and plate light runs through the same wire. I obviously changed the fuses in the engine bay behind the battery (10Amp) but still doesn’t work :S I checked the wires for the in line converter to make sure the guy didn’t forget to plug anything else in but everything is connected and professionally done. Any help would be great, I took it back to the installer and he wasn’t sure what happened himself. I spent hours checking wires and changing many fuses from the interior fuse box and the 2 other fuse box in the engine bay next to the battery but still no luck :S Any suggestions ?
  17. There’s a lot of products out there that have replaced Nissan Matic J, for example you can use Penrite Multi Vehicle Full Synthetic ATF FS which is a new formula of transmission oil that specify for many other vehicle makes as well.
  18. I use Penrite ATF Multi-Vehicle Full Synthetic for years now and it’s been smooth and great on the transmission !
  19. So I replaced my O2 Sensor and the old one turned black. But even then, my car still stalls when I shift into reverse or drive like you said I booked my car in 2 weeks at a different mechanic, one that specialises diagnoses. I’ll keep everyone up to date
  20. I’m going to try and replace most of the hoses in case it’s brittle and might have some leak especially around the BOV and see how that goes. Just you let you guys know that this problem started occurring when I got my radiator changed to a ALLOY so it was a bit bigger then the original factory one. After the radiator changed, there was a Transmission hose going from the radiator to the transmission cooler and that was bent to the point where it burst and started leaking and I was stranded and had to tow it home because the gears stoped working. Found out the hose was bent so much it crippled and didn’t allow the flow of the fluid to pass properly, (right angle bend). After I replaced it and made it more straight so it can flow better, It’s still had the same problem. That’s when I started trying to diagnose deeper by changing coils, afm and etc
  21. Thanks for the concern, no engine light comes on and all I did with the 02 sensor was pulled it out and left it in a small bucket with petrol, after that I cleaned it with a paper towel but still same problem. With the Idle air valve I took it apart and gave it a throttle body spray. The TPS was installed by a professional mechanic and yes it’s adjusted correctly but still stalling so the TPS is not the problem.
