  1. Just wanted to say this was all resolved by unplugging the battery for 24 hours then doing the relearn procedures. Can't say whether the replacement accelerator pedal/throttle bodies even helped, would recommend for anyone in future struggling with this issue to do this first.
  2. Jeepers that looks a bit tedious, so it was removed and relocated to engine bay? Where did you put it?
  3. Thanks for the reply, took it to 2 shops today including na auto electrician... No real info aside from it possibly being the pedal itself and some more data. Is this similar to what you had?
  4. Probably noteworthy to also mention it only touched it for a moment but that was quite a while ago. I sourced some second hand throttle bodies and the issue continued.... I'm stumped at what it could be. Maybe the car lost its uprev tune or the low exhaust caused a crack in one of the extractors (as it does make a weird sound through the exhaust towards the front).
  5. There was an incident whet I may or may not have charged the battery using another and accidentally threw positive on negative terminal. Sparked but nothing seemed damaged, in saying that I have grounding cables going to each throttle body. (removed them to see if this was the issue but to no avail)
  6. Thanks for responding Sonicii, I was only using the CEL flashing method. Today I managed to get hands of a proper consult device and the following is returned along with videos of voltages/etc of when it occurs. Although I no longer have access to it I'm sure this should be enough info to figure it out. Codes: P0123 - TP SEN2/CIRC-B1 P0223 - TP SEN1/CIRC-B1 P0228 - TP SEN2/CIRC-B2 P2133 - TP SEN1/CIRC-B2 Videos of sensor data:
  7. Hi folks, I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on the issues I'm currently experiencing, personally I believe its one of my throttle bodies gone but maybe someone else has experienced something similar. Basically I just started my vehicle and drove home, noticed that at periodic moments it would rev up approximately 3,000rpm above what it was on even with foot off the accelerator pedal, braking stopped it revving. I got home and sat it Idle, at the 3k or just above it mark it will rev to 6k without me touching the accelerator along with a peculiar noise. For reference I've checked the MAF sensors/reset ECU/idle learning/etc/etc, the ECU is throwing absolutely zero codes at me although the light will come on occasionally when it happens. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for reading :)
  8. Hey dude, sorry to hear of your issues. Have you installed test pipes? Mine was actually a failing throttle body from which I was able to install one from a 350z and do the relearn sequence. If you have the auto trans then uprev cant adjust the shift points or idle. They really should've only suggested uprev if you're running test pipes or some other mods.
  9. $1280 NZD all up $22.00 - O2 boss and bung for wideband $500.00 - Factory ECU reprogram to my specifications? $50.00 - fit o2 sensor boss/pre dyno checks $25.00 - Flash the car with uprev to confirm that it is flashing correctly $65.00 - Dyno Setup $390.00 - Full re-flash using uprev to suit mods (run itself) $65.00 - Dyno removal Add on 15% to the above prices for gst lol, as far as im aware I own the license and the license is locked to the ecu.
  10. Unfortunately no AFR charts, I'll be sure to ask for them next time. To be honest I was expecting a bit more, but I failed to take into account the drive-train loss. Its definitely faster than it was before, noticeable throughout the range However she does use a bit more fuel in general cruising and I thought that since the cats were removed it wouldn't have to dump as much fuel to cool them down. The misfiring disappeared after I did a DIY grounding kit to each of the throttle bodies so I'm thinking one of the grounding wires is out to a throttle body and it was going out of sync at a specific throttle position.
  11. Hey man just the following: 1. Stillen Gen 3 Long air intake 2. Megan Racing test pipes with custom dual exhaust Blitz mufflers and resonators. 3. Some 12v to 16v ignition coil thing that came with it from Japan
  12. I'll upload a picture of the sheet when I get home but I think it came out around 276hp at the wheels, given it's an auto/sedan and the extra loss I think it came out alright. I probably could've changed the plugs and done a few other mods. Note: this was done on a dynapack
  13. Hey Folks, Finally had this resolved..well partially. I decided to do a grounding kit but firstly one to the main block and 1 to each throttle body. I honestly can't even begin to explain what a difference this made, although in this case im unsure if it was just a bandage to the problem. Pro's -Smooth Shifts -Appears to shift at more appropriate times -Less accelerator delay I'm going to make to additional grounds to the trans/alternator/ecu/etc to see what kind of chances happen.
  14. Hey Folks. My apologies for a semi repeat post but I couldn't figure out how to edit the original, and I've had further clarity on what may be causing the issue. My Relevant Car Info: -06 V36 Skyline VQ35HR -Test Pipes -Stillen long pipe intake -Tuned with UpRev The Issue: Always under low throttle at the 3,000 - 3,200RPM range the car will misfire and shudder This occurs intermittently at medium to high throttle Only at this rev range (3,000-3,200RPM) Full throttle has no issues Makes no difference the gear Notable hum/bog sound from exhaust prior to this occuring between 2000-3000 depending on throttle/accelerator position. The only thing that has happened since I've had it tuned is repainted the calipers and its been running fine...well semi-unhappy with tune but fine for the past few months. Video of said issue What I've tried: Checked Throttle Bodies and cleaned Checked sufficient voltage is at the throttle bodies Checked plugs and coils Checked for exhaust leaks Checked intake and cleaned MAF & Pod Filters Checked MAF Voltage Checked Accelerator pedal position Had ECU scanned which originally returned codes such as throttle position sensor/accelerator position sensor, now its returning U1000 CAN bus communication/steer-ing wheel lock control unit/Signal: vehicle speed/Supply voltage/Select lever position/clutch switch PN signal/Steering column lock relay/ignition circuit monitoring relay/steering-wheel lock control unit. Most of these codes are irrelevant and most likely related to the aftermarket alarm/other electrical shit that's been done. A fellow is going to go over a few other minor things tomorrow just to double check if he can find anything, the original tuners put it down to possibly being the transmission however this doesn't explain why it only happens at this rev range nor why there aren't other issues. It's been said that its definitely a tune related issue although how can a tune pop out? Any further ideas or things to check would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Nothing of the sort, unfortunately, literally out of nowhere. I'm editing main post for further details.
  16. New weird issue... Slip/ VDC off / 4WAS light recently came on after I started driving today....interwebs says brake fluid but that definitely can't be the case. In saying that I did recently pull the calipers off and paint them, I'm wondering if a sensor in the hub got damaged from impact wrench...?
  17. Its the weirdest case now because there are zero codes showing, and no CEL comes on anymore however still something weird at that 3200 range. Took apart the accelerator pedal but all looks pretty fine there aside from someone having opened it in the past and put an extra spring in with a piece of foam. MAF and Coils diagnose fine ?
  18. Decided to tighten all the bolts up and clean the throttle bodies then reset the tps/etc. Codes afterwards are: 2133 0228 0133 Seems to be something to do with either the TPS or Accelerator pedal however I cleared the codes then went for a driv3 and intermittently the CEL would flash once for a second or half a second then go off randomly, car wss driving fine during this time. Any ideas?
  19. Its worth me mentioning that it does get past this shortly after around 3500rpm and continues as normal.
  20. Cheers for that, cleaned up the AFM however that didn't resolve it. I'll try have a look at the coils/fuelpump soon however I would've thought this would happen all over the rev range if it was them?
  21. Hey people. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea whatsoever what the issue may be with my V36. It recently started sputtering around 3200RPM as you can see in the video (Please ignore my dodgy display), nothing has been changed recently and I have tried resetting the ECU/throttle position/idle air/etc. I've checked for exhaust leaks and can't seem to see anything, the ecu is throwing a throttle position sensor code however advice from the interwebs mentioned to just reset the throttle position and nothing more. Happens in Auto and tiptronic regardless of gear, the only time it doesn't occur is when my foot is to the floor however that isn't feasible :P. Cheers in advance! Video of sputtering
